January 24, 2018- Paramount is in talks with Netflix to have them possibly distribute the 3rd movie in their Cloverfield franchise
- The movie which stars David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw and was once known as the God Particle has had its release date pushed three times
- Last month Paramount forged a distribution deal with Netflix for Annihilation, their upcoming movie starring Natalie Portman, which means that Netflix will be able to show the movie overseas only three weeks after it's released in North American theatres
- Paramount insists that everything is totally fine and this is not a sign of their financial failure
- This comes after Paramount had a terrible year financially with their highest earner being the 5th Transformers movie which bombed domestically
- Last year they also released such non-hits as Mother!, two flops starring Matt Damon (Suburbicon and Downsizing), Ghost in the Shell and Baywatch
