I think that obviously this is a time for women to get to speak, and I understand the power and importance of that; but it also feels like once again the women are doing all the work and the dudes just get to show up and make sympathetic faces.

I can't wait men to wear black like they usually do and stans on twitter being like "omg protect Armie at all costs! Hero! True feminist! Timothee, my cinnamon roll!" rme.

until Hollywood stops working with, praising and awarding these predators and abusers a lot of it is empty talk and meaningless. There's lots of great work happening from this but I really am disgusted by some of these hypocritical celebs. The silence from a lot of men still has been deafening. Like, I still can't @ Aziz Ansari having an entire storyline about finding out a colleague is a predator and doing the right thing but then IRL continues to have shit to say about Louis CK. Cowards. Although judging by the gossip on social media he has his own issues.

IA. Stop working with these men and then we’ll talk. It’s so easy to just wear black but so many of these celebs are fucking hypocrites. Esp that W Mag video they did with those actors. Lawrence, Stone, Timothee have all worked with predators at some point and had no issue with it.

Stone worked with allen TWICE.
Lawrence has worked with both Singer and Russell.
Timothee just got done working with Allen.

I don’t even remember the others from that video but how fucking hypocritical do you have to be. Lawrence was just at an event honoring DOR.

MTE, make the men wear like off green or somthing.

No excuse like "Oh It was too late," you can dye a tux.

I say no colors honestly. If you’re big enough to get away with it, talk about it in your speeches. Stop working with predators for a statue. Wearing black in solidarity is a nice thought but doesn’t do much but allow those who can’t speak out to show solidarity. They have to stop working for these men.

Men don't care. They've always been the ones with the power to stop this behaviour. I really doubt whether these revelations ping any deeper than Wow that sucks 😞 for 90% of them.

This is what I have been saying all along. The TIMESUP thing has been made public for a week but go look at the TIMESUP donation page and still the top donators are women in the industry. The men asked what they could to help and now that there is something to actually do, they go with "we are wearing black," which is what they always do anyways. They can all go fuck off.
