CBS has renewed "Young Sheldon" for a 2nd season, midway through it's first. The show is a prequel of popular sitcom "The Big Bang Theory", which remains the highest rated comedy in its 2nd season. Young Sheldon is the highest rated new show this season on TV, and the 2nd highest rated comedy overall.
