Because that would mean everyone who has worked with them would have to admit that they cared more about awards or coins than the unspeakable shit these men were capable of. And ego isn't allowing them to admit that.

Bingo.

Scarlett, Tom, Larry, Alison, Owen, Rachel, Emma, Jesse, Justin, Kate, Colin, Elle, etc.

Really all they have to do is speak out. Do they think they'll lose fans or something? Or is it more than if they speak out, Hollywood will automatically kill their careers?

Not sure which Emma you mean (probs Stone), but Emma Thompson denounced Polanski, which is nice.

It's pretty clear all these people care more about awards than morality: Rebecca Hall, Timothée Chalamet, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Elle Fanning, Selena Gomez, Liev Schreiber, Diego Luna, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake, Juno Temple, Emma Stone, Colin Firth, Joaquin Phoenix -- and these are just the ones since Dylan Farrow's letter was published in 2014, so these people really had no excuse.

Seeing Selena's name on there is still so wtf. But yes, 100% Once Dylan published that letter, there should have been no doubt that working with him was a shitty thing to do and invalidating to his victims.

Yeah, I'm glad Ellen Page expressed herself, but I really don't hold her as responsible as the people listed above who knew exactly what Dylan went through. She worked with Woody in 2012, and of course people knew he married his own step-daughter and they may have been aware of the 1993 child abuse case, but he was never charged or convicted of anything. So they could tell themselves that it was OK to work with him. But after 2014 there is literally no excuse.

Ellen flat out saying she regrets working with him so much was big, IMO. She's grown up a lot over the past few years and I think she's truly learned from past experiences and will continue to grow. Proud of her tbh

I agree, I'm just saying that in 2012 it was a completely different climate and there was no stigma attached to working with him at all. Not the way it became after Dylan's letter was published in 2014 and everyone started talking out in the open. So Ellen addressing it now is even more thoughtful and admirable.
