it's totally true! i used to be obsessed with titanic as a kid (first PG-13 movie my mom let me see! i was about 8) and i saved up my allowance and bought the official "making-of" book. there was an interview with james cameron in it and he admitted to saying that, without even a hint of remorse. gross.

It's honestly shocking to me that so many people thought she was fat in that movie. I was just a little kid but I honestly thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen...the industry really does work its ass off to make us all believe that anyone over a size 2 is pudgy.

Also, my mother always laughed that Kate would even be interested in Leo during Titanic - since she looked like a woman and Leo looked like a sad teenage boy.
