September 7, 2017 In a not so shocking new interview with Dan Wootton, Girls Aloud main vocalist Nadine claims that the former Girls Aloud members were very bitter that she got the most lines in their songs. This bitterness eventually caused a divide in the group which led to their disbandment after their 10 year anniversary.
"It’s so sad for me to have to admit this stuff now because for so long, there’s the band, and you want everybody to think we’re best friends and we have pillow fights and, you know, drink milkshakes. That's what you want. That’s what I wanted it to be. I really, really wanted that to be, but it just wasn’t how it was.
It just happened that I always got more vocals than everybody else, so in terms of people wanting their voice heard, that wasn’t happening and it made people very very bitter. They didn’t like that. And they didn't like Brian (Xenomania's lead producer) because of that."
In the interview, she expresses her disappointment with how the other girls decided to announce the group's disbandment on the final night of their tour.
"So we done the show, then afterwards one of the management came and said 'Here this is the tweet that they are doing.' I was like 'What, a tweet? Absolutely not. What is this? This is a load of nonsense. Take my name off it. I don't agree with anything that's written there.' You can't start off the reunion with a press conference and end ten years with a TWEET!"
When asked if she was disappointed in being the only member from Girls Aloud to publically support Sarah Harding on Celebrity Big Brother, Nadine claims that she's not surprised that Cheryl and her minions did not show any support.
"I'm not surprised. You would actually prefer people to be genuine. You don't like someone, there you go. Just be genuine about it. You don't have to be anything else. I don't think Sarah is surprised either. It's to be expected."
Nadine also claims that she's not ruling out another Girls Aloud reunion.
"So could we work together? Absolutely, we could do that next week and it would be fine. It (their feud) wouldn't make a difference to how everything would work... I love Girls Aloud.
I can honestly say, I don't dislike any of them. I don't have any bad feelings towards any of them."
