-It's been 10 years since the pilot episode of Gossip Girl
-Blake Lively & Leighton Meester might've played bffs on screen but they weren't close in real life
-Savage and Schwartz looked on message boards to see what fans of the series thought about who should be cast.
-Katie Cassidy had auditioned for the role but was beat out by Lively who at first they thought was to California. While the only issue with Meester was she was blonde...so they had her dye her hair brunette.
-Lively had planned on going to college at least once a week while filming the show as she was promised by S&S but that didn't happen due to how much they had to work
-Blake and Penn kept their break up a secret for months. Penn was the most like his character and he hated being on the show.
-When Gossip Girl went to LA, that was due to Blake requesting it since she was filming Savages at the time (and dating Leo) so it was easier to temporarily move Serena's life to California then have to constantly fly back and forth
-They encountered their very own Gossip Girl when scripts and bts info was being leaked to the internet. They hired a private investigator who later concluded that a teenager from Russia or Bulgaria had hacked one of the writers emails
-Nate and Eric Van Der Woodsen were at one point considered to be THE Gossip Girl before they settled on Dan
-Practically everyone is open for a reunion if the script is right.
