Well, in the books, she discusses it a bit more with Shadow and it's not an easy answer but one that sadly made sense. I think they'll explore it more for the show =)

Not really? They show what her life was like before she met him, [SPOILERS] and she just seemed like a very unhappy & unfulfilled person. They pretty much implied that she only got together with him for the thrill and then as soon as her life got boring/monotonous again she went right back to being unhappy. He definitely loved her more than she loved him.
