This is so true, and I say that as a stan tbh. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE so many of Kelly's songs, but a lot of them are just boring IMO. I get that Kelly never wanted that massive popstar life, and of course she's a mom now (and older), so it's even more unlikely she'd want to go back to her Breakaway-era levels of fame, but that doesn't mean she should just sell herself short. I'm hoping that the soul album is really gonna be a good direction for her because that can showcase her voice so well and also be something we aren't used to from her (aside from her early stuff).
