i believe the whole thing was completely fake and la la land was in on it.

the oscars needed a "moment" otherwise it would have gone way too smooth

It def wasn't planned, and even if it was the LLL crew was not in on it. You can see how genuinely upset some of them were/how flustered they got. No one would want the embarrassment that comes giving speeches and then realizing you didn't win.

Omg, the conspiracies are stupid.

This is insanely embarrassing for the Academy and the incompetence will never be forgotten, they did not want this to happen - La La Land especially did not want this to happen because it is incredibly embarrassing to be bragging about dreams on stage and then have the biggest award in your field snatched away.

I can't with anyone who thinks it was fake. Warren Beatty was obviously thrown off during it and he without a doubt had a Best Actress envelope.

Also, the bald white guy was clearly annoyed and upset when he realized he didn't win. Just look at the way he snatched the actual winning card out of a Warren's hand.

If it was planned it wasn't planned very well because it was a total cluster fuck.

At my friends' Oscar party, we turned off the Oscars after La La Land "won" and I'll always regret that a liiiittle bit because it would've been more exciting finding out about it during the broadcast, not on social media (then we went back to the DVR to witness the madness)

I stopped paying attention after the dude thanked his "blue eyed wife" but then there was panic on stage and I thought someone was trying to pull an Adele or something and then he snatched the card and made me believe in God, lol.
