This show has always been of questionable quality, but it was usually entertaining (except for season 2). I'll miss it when it's gone.

The rape storyline killed this show for me. It used to be silly and fun but the way they wrote Mary's rape as a plot device to break up her relationship with Francis was disgusting. I also can't believe Conde's coming back. Does anyone really miss him, apart from Adelaide (I believe the actors are dating?) It's so odd to me that none of her ladies are with her now, it looks hollow. I also don't want to watch a season that's likely to end in Mary's death. As poor as the writing for her was back in S2, she's still a great character and I don't want to see her fall.

Haha no you're right, though with this show you never know. I fully expect a Titanic scene with an executed Mary reunited with Francis in ~ Heaven.

Yes I agree about thr rape scene. It was so unnecessary and heartbreaking to watch. That's something that almost made mecatop watching because it ruined the show. But after they moved on from that I started liking it again

Yeah, the rape storyline completely derailed the show.

Rape as drama is cheap and offensive to begin with, but even more so on a show like Reign which couldn't possibly handle the matter competently.

Season 3 more or less put the show back in its S1 ways, but the damage had pretty much been done.

Is Conde coming back? I thought the actor would be too busy doing that Batfleck/Matt Damon show?
