Character actor Michael Massee passes away at age 61
Variety is currently reporting that character actor Michael Massee has passed away today. While details of his death are unknown at this time fellow actor and Interventions co-star Anthony Delon confirmed Massee's death via an instagram post earlier today.
While Massee had many credits to his name including a recurring role on 24 as well as appearances in Se7en, Carnivàle, Rizzoli & Isles and even Supernatural Massee was most widely known for his role in the tragic death of Brandon Lee. While playing the role of Funboy he shot Lee with an improperly loaded prop gun that ultimately killed the actor. Massee was never able to get over the tragedy and found himself unable to ever watch The Crow (his second film project ever).
Massee is survived by his wife and their two children.
