I guess I can see it if he's clean shaven, but he's not old enough... also he was my least favorite Musketeer and he had only one emotion (brood) so...

I think he had his 36th birthday in the second book (and the actor is 35), but yeah, I always pictured someone older as well. I guess it's the grumpiness.

Oh, huh... He's kinda young and attractive for the role.

I pictured Rosamund Pike as Robin when I was reading the book but I doubt she'd do the role.
