I'm disappointed in this album but since I adore them I keep *trying* to get into it. Their lyrics were definitely dumbed down for this album too. I want a Sainthood Part 2
it only appeals to me if i don't necessarily think about it in the canon of t&s music? it seems like a logical progression from heartthrob but that didn't really make sense?
i can't fault them for wanting to grow and challenge themselves as artists. i just really loved the con. it is such an important album to me. i still feel like they get their power across lyrically. it's just different musically? idk
i wish i could get into LY2D more :( I have tickets to see them this fall and I'm not really looking forward to it if only because it'll likely be mostly new songs.
I seem to be in the minority who really liked Heartthrob and was really excited for this album, but I'm super disappointed in it. The lyrics aren't cutting it for me on this one. "Stop Desire" is a jam though.
i really love everything they've done but i guess i never felt they'd be going in this direction with their music? not that it's a bad thing or a dislike it.....it's just really different?
i still feel like lyrically they are really strong. their lyrics always make me think
