Louis Walsh reveals that Britney Spears didn't hear any of the contestants singing on The X Factor

Louis Walsh has revealed that Britney Spears would wear earplugs during tapings of the X Factor, back when she was a judge in 2012.

Talking about the singer, Louis Walsh said, "I was sitting next to Britney Spears and she was kind of gaga. Not Lady Gaga, but she was kind of gaga."

He continues, revealing that Britney had to be taken outside every 30 minutes. It was during one of these outings that he discovered she had been judging the contestants while wearing earplugs.

Louis said, "We had to take her out maybe every half an hour and then I discovered that she had earplugs in. She was judging people singing but she had earplugs in all the time."

Louis Walsh also praised Nicole Scherzinger, saying that she was the only judge on the show who could sing, "unlike other judges on the show."
