I honestly don't understand why they even admit people for 'exhaustion'. Like drink some water and take a damn nap! Maybe even some Flinestones gummies if you need to.

I'm an RN and I've never seen 'exhaustion' written in anyone's chart. I'm interested to know if anyone else has seen it lol

I'm an RN too and back when I was in the adult world, I never saw it. I mean dehydration or electrolyte imbalances, sure, but never just plain old exhaustion.

I'm an MD and I've never seen it either. From my experience you have to be really damn specific in the ED as to why you are trying to take up a bed (and for someone who is 'exhausted' lol, the whole ED staff is exhausted, bih). I'm sure the chart would be more specific.

MD here, emergency doc at that, and it's BS. "exhaustion" ain't no admitting diagnosis.

it's also bothering me ridiculously that she's not even in a hospital gown.
