i liked the show a lot, even if it got messy and the long ~artistic ambient shots in S3 bored me, but would be fine with what we got being the end. penny dreadful on the other hand tho ...

you realise i didn't mean what you think i meant right. arty shots, dialogue that did not make any sense, etc. i loved the first two seasons but it went downhill

It was a bad use of words, sis, is like complaining why the water is wet.

It went downhill for you and half of the fans. The other half of us loved every second of it. Let's love the things we love and agree to disagree.

well I didn't expect you to agree with me, so that's fine with me??

then why sharing an opinion in a public site if you don't want to discuss about it? I'm not saying you have to like it, you know?

I feel like in S3 they started buying into their own hype, so it became extra artsy, extra edgy, extra meandering dialogue. Also the first half of S3 had quite a bit a director whose style I didn't like, so that contributed to my dislike of it (the slow mo of Will falling off the train made me laugh, I don't think that's the reaction they were looking for).

MTE

I thought that season 3 was okay at best but I'm not as excited for a possible season 4 like I was for seasons 2 and 3 when they were first announced.

Nah, I ended up really hating S3, lol. I was relieved when the show was cancelled and I wouldn't have to watch anymore. I don't even know how I'd feel about a S4 or tv movie or something. God I used to be so excited and in love with the show, even during S2, which had some stuff I didn't like. But S3 was the deal breaker for me.

My personal feelings. I was bummed for the fans and everyone who was still enjoying it, but it's hard for me to quit shows, even when they go downhill, so it being cancelled meant I didn't have to stop watching it and the decision was made for me. I'm not saying 'don't make a S4', I'm saying I'm not sure if I'll stick around if they do make one.

i know those are your personal feelings, egoistically wishing for the show to end just because the show is forcing you to watch it so who cares for the rest of the fans, right?

I hate hate hate got and twd and i stopped watching them years ago and even if i can't find a single good thing about those shows i don't wish for their cancellation because i know the fans will feel sad if their fave shows were suddenly rushed and cancelled. i know why i dislike got, and i know why you dislike hannibal, and that's fine. wishing the cancellation to make you feel better it's just awful

Where exactly did I say any of that? I said I was relieved the show ended, not happy and then I explained to you exactly why I was. I said I felt bad for the fans, said I'm not against them getting a fourth season, even if I might not watch it. But go ahead, call be egotistical and awful if it makes you feel superior, I'm sure you've never had a selfish thought in your life. I don't go on message boards/tumblr/whatever and start threads about how the show should be cancelled, laugh at fans and protest a season 4, I just honestly expressed my dislike for S3 and how I felt when it was done.

Actually season 3 was canceled before I started to hate it. When it was canceled everyone was like "NOOOOO" but I saw the writing on the wall with the ratings. I did actually contact Nextflix as part of the save Hannibal campaign. However as the season progressed and it shoved its head too far up its own ass, made it clear unless you liked Hannigram you weren't going to enjoy the show and managed to piss off a group of people like me who thought Fuller clearly had not comprehended the source material in season 3 I was like "Good it's over" since it was canceled and Fuller's own stupidity kept anyone from picking it up.
