Sometimes they don't--I've definitely seen an episode or two where they say the hotel went back to being a dump.

they don't last in most cases lol i'm amazing some of these shitty places stay open, even after the show airs their dirty laundry (or dirty kitchens).

eps of Kitchen Nightmares where the owners are just dirty and disgusting with food... I'd never trust them to keep up cleanliness. not being a slob isn't something you can learn within a week.
