i'm going to ramble

[Spoiler (click to open)]i was one of those assholes who waited in line for hours bc i had nothing else to do once i got to new york in the afternoon. i was right near the door where they take the artists in but i was still not expecting alex turner to be like six inches from me?? lmao. some guy in line got a picture of me making a face like "pls let the ground swallow both him and me rn" right as alex is in front of me, though tbh that was a chill reaction compared to everyone else. miles was cool and stopped to sign stuff/take pictures with a lot of fans but i didn't bother bc i always feel weird approaching ppl like that. blah blah blah, my spot for the show was well worth the wait. i was second "row" on alex's side of the stage. totally wore the wrong shoes for that shit tho 🙃

anyway, they played every song off eycte + taotu, calm like you, only the truth, meeting place, in my room, standing next to me, and their beatles cover. the eycte songs KILL it live and taotu songs sound so much better in miles and alex's grown up voices, esp alex's. his dance moves were the most embarrassing as always. at one point during miracle aligner, he noticed someone in the balcony and started serenading them and it turns out it was matt hitt lmao. taylor was there too and he slipped her name into she does the woods bc he is a man obsessed. my feet were in so much pain that i left my spot during in my room (smh i've worn these shoes before IDGI!) and headed to find a seat in back BUT it was still amazing and they were great live. alex's vocals during sweet dreams are out of this world. the difference in stage presence between him and miles is staggering tho; miles is such a natural and alex is... alex. also this is obviously different everywhere you go but the crowd in ny was so surprisingly chill... like i had personal space the entire time which is a miracle. all in all, 10/10 and i hope they play near me again so i can go and wear more comfortable shoes this time.

damn it sounds great! too bad about the shoes (lmao what kind did you wear?) but i'm glad you had a good time regardless!

see i'm really looking forward to hearing sweet dreams bc the vocals are amazing and i enjoy the song but it's def not a favourite i don't think, we'll see how it goes once i see them live.

also lol he truly is a man obsessed. jesus lol he just doesn't stop or learn.

miles is amazing live like i kinda get why people aren't into him (musically speaking) but i really dig him/his voice. i'm so excited!!!!!

i wore slightly heeled boots and i've walked a lot in them before so ??? tho i guess i did end up walking like six miles around ny before i got in line so that's prob what did it. REGARDLESS, i had a blast and you will too. sweet dreams is lowkey a fav for me now just because of the live performance. i seriously cannot get over his vocals.

miles has always kind of creeped me out personally but i respect him a lot as an artist. he was born to do this shit. he has a great energy and his vocals on this album are great imo.

have so much fun and tell me everything in return!!!

honestly i don't even know. like miles is always 'on' no matter what his intoxication level is, and i can't tell if alex hits the margaritas too hard or is taking the hammy frontman thing too far lmao
