Nordstrom Rack has some workout stuff for decent prices(in the store, not online). Champion brand at Target works out alright for me(although it depends, some stuff I love, some stuff is meh). I also have gotten a couple things on Thredup, but that's not for everyone. Found some barely used Asics for $20 the other day on Poshmark as well. I know used workout clothes isn't for everyone, but you can find a lot of new/barely used stuff because lots of people buy it and don't use it or just use if for lounge clothing.
I'd advise you to think in terms of value - I have some workout clothes I spent more on, but I've worn them for years and they're still in great shape. Of course, if you can get good quality on sale or at a lower price point, all the better!
I tried Fabletics from Kate Hudson where you get an outfit for $25 + free shipping on your first order... (although you have to cancel your account or you'll get charged monthly) but I really like the stuff. It's comfy and fits well.
tk/tj maxx, if you have it. I got all this fancy 100% organic cotton yoga wear for walmart prices there and haven't needed anything new in years because the quality is so so good (which is a double edged sword because buying new stuff is fun and motivating).
I bought almost all of mine from TJ Maxx or Marshall's with a couple pieces from Kohl's. But you can get decent wicking clothes from all of those places. The only thing I dropped substantial money on was shoes.
