gah it must be nice to look like that after 2 kids :[ she looks badass.
I've got to figure out how to work out (and eat better, lbr). Ever since I started an office job where I'm on my butt all day, I've gained back all the weight I lost and lost all the muscle I gained. I'm so unhappy with myself - and some of it's probably a bit of depression. but I've got to do something, I just can't get motivated.
CRAP. I didn't think this would be the first comment - SORRY FOR THE BUMMER COMMENT.
The thing that works best for me is sticking to a schedule. If I have a set time of the day I have to work out, then I'm more likely to do it. I also love fitness blender cause they have a calendar on their website so you can figure out all your workouts ahead of time and be ready to go.
Find a sport that makes you passionate. There are so many out there. I started Aikido 2 years ago and I love it so much. It has transformed my life. I can imagine a life just earning some money to survive, career aspirations are not important to me anymore. I just want to be able to continue doing Aikido. My day is miserable if I can't go there at the end of the day. I picked up Tai Chi and Qi Gong to improve in my sport. I go to the gym twice a week to improve my body to be better at my sport. I have never been this sporty. It's all because I just love it. No tiredness or anything can keep me from showing up in the dojo every time there's class. I'm discoveryng that there's a lot of depth in physical activity but we miss out on it because a lot of uss see sport only as a means to look good. My body has another meaning to me. It looks great too (not gonna lie) but the experience as a whole is very valuable and my looks are only a tiny part of it.
I walk on my lunch break. I'm in a downtown area so sometimes the traffic lights are all like "we're all gonna turn and make you wait for traffic trololol" but it's nice to get out, get some fresh air, burn some calories, and do a bit of people-watching. Then I come back and eat something light
( ... )
I work an office job, and I use my lunch break to just go on walks in the neighborhood. Then come back and eat lunch at my desk, lol. It probably depends on your office, but if you have the freedom to get out, take it.
