Adam Lambert finds that the music industry is still Uncomfortable with Gay Men Singing about guys

Apr 14, 2016 00:29

-Acknowledges that times have changed and that there is an overall acceptance of LGBT people in most Western societies now.
-He wishes however that there were more out gay musicians (especially American) like Olly Alexander from Years&Years who aren't afraid to use male pronouns in their music and fully embrace their LGBT identity. Notes that audiences are here and supportive for gay acts but the music industry is much more unsure/conservative and often the big decision makers shy away from male pronouns and full acceptance.
