ONTD have you ever fallen out with your best friend?
yep, I sure have. It's not fun but looking back, I'm glad I did tbh. It's just awkward because we see each other around and just don't say anything. They ended up being racist trash.
my "best friend" has dropped me twice. once when we were in college and i didn't like her much older, not yet divorced, creepily controlling (broke into her apartment to "clean" it "to be nice" kind of controlling) boyfriend. then years later when she found out i was engaged she reached out about how weird it was she didn't even know my fiancé, etc. etc. so i invited her to the wedding and we reconnected for a bit. then i had my daughter and didn't have as much time for my friend's self obsession and constant need for reassurance so she dropped me again. i should have just stuck with it the first time she "broke up" with me.
omg that sounds just like my former "best friend." she has dropped me a handful of times, maybe 3 or 4. i lost track, tbh. its the same thing as you're describing - if i don't have what she considers "enough" time for her, i'm dead to her.

Yes, sadly. I was raised by narcissists and have an annoying tendency to befriend them, as well.
