ONTD Original: Piscean Faves!

Feb 29, 2016 10:57

Hello everyone and welcome to the Piscean edition of our horoscope faves! A big happy birthday to all of our ONTDer pisceans as we continue our journey through
season!

Fred Rogers (aka Mr Rodgers), March 20

Fred Rogers raised a couple generations through the power of TV, asking us if we’d like to be his neighbor (if your answer was not a YES, then get the fuck out). In 1969, Mr. Rogers went to US Congress to plead on behalf of funding for public broadcasting in the United States. Not only did Congress NOT reduce funding, they actually INCREASED funding. Bless him.

Alan Rickman, Feb 21

By Grabthar’s hammer, by the sons of Worvan I will avenge you! Alan Rickman was a joy of person and a joy of an actor; I don’t think there’s anyone that could hate his acting, on stage or on screen. A man with a unique voice and presence, he was also an activist and fought on behalf of his costars and coworkers. He is truly missed.

Lupita Nyong’o, March 1

Stunning all of us with her work in 12 Years a Slave, Lupita entered our hearts and has yet to leave. Beautiful, intelligent, and with a voice like butter, we look forward to her career.

Oscar Isaac, March 9

He’ll do you the right way. With critically acclaimed films like Inside Llewyn Davis and Ex Machina, Oscar Isaac is now known on a worldwide basis due to his turn as Resistance Pilot Poe Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Thanks to his beauty and charisma, Poe Dameron ended up not being killed in the film.

John Boyega, March 17

Really it should be John BAEyega, am I right??? This qt was born in 1992 and is the enthusiastic child of Nigerian immigrants in Peckham. The adorable cinnamon roll starts as Finn the ex-Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and his energy is catching.

Kesha, March 1

Girl’s been through a lot these past few years. Bursting onto the scene with Tik Tok, Kesha is now embroiled in a legal battle with Dr. Luke, a slimy piece of shit who really should just get swallowed up by a sinkhole. Kesha- we here at ONTD are ALL rooting for you, and apologize for our mean comments in the past <3

Queen Latifah, March 18

The Queen! Well known rapper and actress, most of us met her in the sitcom Living Single. She’s starred in movies like Chicago, Ice Age, Last Holiday (a personal favorite for a pick me up movie), The Secret Life of Bees, and 22 Jump Street. Her most recent work was performing as The Wizard of Oz in NBC’s live rendition of The Wiz.

Sidney Poitier, Feb 20

Actor, director, and diplomat, Sidney Poitier was the first Bahamian and African American actor to win an Academy Award for his performance in Lilies of the Field. He’s well known for films like To Sir, With Love, In the Heat of the Night, and Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.

Honorable mentions: Sailor Neptune, Steve Irwin, Bryan Cranston, Dr. Seuss, Freddie Prinze Jr., Drew Barrymore, Dakota Fanning (the answer to all blind items), Vanessa Williams, Ellen Page, Elizabeth Taylor, Emily Blunt, Kurt Cobain, Albert Einstein, Jensen Ackles, Aziz Ansari, Naoko Takeuchi
