OT but i also just need to say how much i love yara martinez. i remember watching her on another show (the lying game lol) and i liked her well enough there, but it wasn't until i saw her on JTV that i realized how sadly wasted she was.

bridget and yara get it. roisa fans get it. doesn't make it any less fun to bs about. mostly i just want luisa to be a proud, happy, cute af woman. cuz girl just cannot catch a fucking break.

a lot of the fanfic/chatter i see is about how luisa is totally rose's one exception to her otherwise evil shadiness. which kinda ignores the whole institutionalization/imma-murder-your-dad stuff. (actually, a lot of people don't technically ignore the institutionalization, they just sorta whitewash/justify it.)

obviously fanfic is its own little world, but i don't get taking something as fucked up as roisa and writing fluffy fic for those two. i have nothing against AU but imo a good part of the appeal in their relationship is how dysfunctional it is. it's like the part of the oitnb fandom that ships piper/alex but likes to ignore all the stuff that actually makes them piper and alex.

And that's the fic, a lot of it is AU set so most fans just let them have it. As for her actions with killing Emilio and institutionalizing Lu, a lot fans I see go right for it and don't ignore it/actually make it important parts of the discussion so idk.
