The youth you swear you remember and miss has already been lost by me.
The youth you miss and swear you remember is a ball-and-chain anklet when you're just trying to swim.
I'm drowning out your voice, your messages, your phonecalls and your IMs- to make myself better, more adult, more -er. I wish I had the ignorance that brings bliss. I'm far too aware of what I'm about to do. Too scared, also. I'm too everything.
But never good things.
I'm drowning out your voice, and all of those around me.
But mostly,
I'm just drowning.
