“Sungmin, Sungmin!” I didn’t know if I was in a dream or not, but I was sure that someone called me desperately. That voice kept calling me, and that’s when I realized that it wasn’t a dream. If it was a dream, I could make that voice disappear right?
I opened my eyes and saw my mom standing besides me, with the telephone in her hands. I asked who was calling me, and she told me this person named “Kyu.” Not wasting any other second, I snatched the phone from my mom and answered.
“Hello? Kyu?” I asked, desperate to hear his voice.
“Hyung, I see that you’re not a morning person!” said Kyu.
“Kyu, its 6 a.m. I’m sure not many people wake at that hour! Besides, how do you know my phone number? Why didn’t you call me to my cell phone?”
“Whoa hyung, calm down. I asked Donghae for your cell phone number, but you never answered it. So I called Donghae again and asked for your house number. So he gave it to me and now, I’m talking to you. Oh! And if you’re wondering how I know Donghae, he’s my friend, but we barely see each other because of his boyfriend, Eunhyuk.”
“I knew that Donghae and Eunhyuk had something going on! Anyways, why are you calling me so early?”
“hyung, I… just wanted to hear your voice.” I could sense Kyuhyun blush on the other end of the line; I was going to squeal, but I noticed that my mom was still there, listening to the whole conversation. Politely, I asked my mom to leave the room. She gave me a smirk and left the room.
“Hyung?” Kyuhyun said with worry.
“Sorry, my mom was listening to the whole conversation... well just listening to what I was saying to you, I asked her to leave the room. What is it, Kyu?
“Let’s go have some fun today. I want to see your face.” I blushed at that statement. Is he falling on me? I hope so.
“Sure Kyu, where do you want to go?” I asked wishing it was somewhere fun or romantic. Can you imagine Kyu being romantic? I would be spacing out.
“I want to go to… Lotte world.”
“If that’s so, let’s meet up at 10 a.m., okay?”
“Sure hyung, don’t be late because I want to see your face soon as possible.”
“Kyu-ah, you seem happy today.”
“Of course I am! I’m going to see my favorite hyung! See you later.” He hung up.
What am I going to put on, that’s all I had in my mind right now. It’s not just a normal day like friends meeting each other; in my case, Kyuhyun expects to see me in Lotte world, and I’m sure it’s not just a normal meeting. If it was a normal meeting, he wouldn’t be too excited about it.
In those 3 hours left, I brushed my teeth, take shower, dress up with a normal t-shirt with random colors, blue jeans, a cap, and my black converse, ate breakfast, played around with my hair, brushed my teeth again. At 9:40 a.m., took a cab and asked the driver to leave me at Lotte World. At 10 a.m., I saw Kyuhyun waiting at the entrance. To my surprise, he had the same t-shirt and the black converse I had on. I was going to approach him, but I saw a girl walk near him and ask if he was alone. Curious to know the answer, I hid behind a wall which Kyuhyun was leaning on.
“I’m waiting someone special.”
“Oh, then I’ll just wait with you until that “someone special” shows up. By the way, what’s your name?” the girl asked, she seemed to like him a lot.
“Kyuhyun.”
“Oh… and is that “someone special” your girlfriend?”
“No… but I wish.”
“Ah… so I guess you’re going to ask her to be your girlfriend today?”
“Yes.”
“Oh well, then I’m just going to leave, bye oppa.”
I heard Kyu sigh as the girl leaves him. It was my opportunity to appear, so I just walked slowly towards him. When he saw me, his face lightened up with a bright smile.
“Hi Kyu!” I ran and hugged him tightly.
“Hi hyung, you came late…”said Kyu with a frown
“I’m sorry Kyu; you know… there’s a lot of traffic today.” I said showing my smile later. “What a coincidence! We have the same t-shirt and shoes!”
“Oh… I know what my bunny boy will put on, even if I’m far away.” He said winking.
“Awww Kyu, I love you.” I said almost shouting. People stared us like if we were some kind of weirdoes, but that doesn’t matter. I love Kyu and that will never change!
“Anyways, let’s go inside and have some fun.” He said showing a smile.
I nodded. While we were walking through the crowd, Kyuhyun grabbed my hand and hold them tightly. He never let my hand go during rides as roller coasters. We played around, ate ice cream, took pictures and hugged each other for the whole day. Sometimes, he would look at me and blush when I smile. He seemed to enjoy the whole day, and I do too. Kyuhyun is the only one that took my heart and filled it with love.
“Hyung, let’s go sit somewhere. I’m tired.” Kyu said rubbing his eyes with his hand. It was so cute!
We sat on the benches, and suddenly, I felt Kyu laid his head on my shoulders. That was strange, he’s tall yet he can put his head on my shoulder? That’s when I noticed that his body was a little bit apart from mine, so he could lean on me easily.
“Hyung, as the last ride, why don’t we get in the Ferris wheel?” Kyu asked. That was unexpected from him.
“Sure Kyu, everything for you.” I said. Kyu just giggled and pinched my left cheek.
We were running towards the Ferris wheel. He was too excited, that he bumped with many people who were in our way. Finally, we arrived, and we were too lucky. The Ferris wheel finished its course and stopped. Kyuhyun grabbed my hand again and pulled me close to him. I could feel his heart beat faster than normal, is he nervous?
When we were going to get in, we saw a couple… the Eunhae couple.
“Hey Sungmin!” Eunhyuk shouted as he pulled Donghae closer. “Are you with your boyfriend!?”
I couldn’t answer him right away since Kyu pulled me inside and landed on top of him. I could feel my blood rush to my face, making me blush hard.
“I’m sorry Kyu!” I said getting up and sit next to him, too embarrassed to show my face.
“It’s okay hyung” he said patting my back. “Hyung… I have something to tell you…”
I looked up and stared at him confused. “What is it Kyu?”
The Ferris wheel started to move, yet we remained silent. Kyu was scratching his head and turned as red as Rudolph’s nose.
“I don’t know how to say this…” he said blushing, “I love you hyung, I want you by my side…”
