The next day, I couldn’t face Kyuhyun, not even for 1 second. I passed the whole day behind Donghae and Eunhyuk, trying to hide my face from him. I felt the day eternal, even lunch time seemed so slow. Siwon and others stared at me, like if I did something wrong, but they never asked me anything. I just wanted the day to be over. Just when I laid my head on the desk to close my eyes for 1 second, Donghae shook me.
“Sungmin, I have to tell you something,” Donghae said as he kept shaking me.
“say it then,” I said, looking at Donghae with sadness.
“HE, you know who I mean, said that it’s wrong to date someone older than him.”
“…” what the hell was that!?
“yeah, stupid uh?”
“very.”
“Anyways, I told him that age shouldn’t matter when you like that person, just go with your heart. He was thinking deeply after what I said.”
“Maybe he was thinking of Zhoumi or Ryeowook,” I said as I closed my eyes, letting my tears flow down.
“Sungmin… don’t cry, he’s not worthy of those tears.” Donghae hugged me and I hugged back, crying on his shoulder.
When classes were over, I took my bag and walked straight towards my locker. I got all my things fast as I could then left. Over the gate, Kyuhyun was talking with boys I never met in my life before. As soon as I got there, Kyuhyun told me “goodbye” next to my ear. I looked at him mad and turned back to go home. Did Donghae’s advice help?
