this weekend went really well. friday night, my cousin came down from delaware to partake in my birthday celebrations. went downtown with some of my favorites. courtney, jenn, and i discovered a new hangover cure in the bathroom at the bar. fantastic! hung out with stacy for the first time in two years.. and it was as if we had never been apart. that's why i love that girl. the girls made my night really fun.. even when they were practically force-feeding me alcohol. we managed to run into some old perry hall high heads. of course. yeah, anyway.. i miss my cousin already. we have the best drunk/sober conversations.
we stayed until last call, then headed home. mcdonald's late night menu is a goddamn ripoff! all we wanted were cheeseburgers, but instead, we had to order huge value meals. everything tastes great when you have alcohol in your system, though.
on saturday (my actual birthday), i ran some errands with my brother. i managed to get lost in anne arundel county twice in one week. we went to petsmart and i fell in love with a black cat that was waiting to be adopted. she looked just like my old cat :( I WANT HER SO BADLY.
my mom made my favorite foods for dinner that night. it was fabulous! noamel came over to eat with us, which was nice.
sunday was the birthday cookout for my cousin and me. it was good to see a bunch of old familiar faces.. everyone has babies now! jeni and i were in heaven. the day/night consisted of lots of good food and lots of good people.
the entire weekend was bittersweet. i feel like my childhood is gone for good. that's a difficult thing to grasp. actually, for those of you who know me inside & out, you know that that is an extremely difficult thing for me to grasp. however, my parents still have a way of making me feel like their little girl when i need it the most.. and i will always cherish that.
a big "THANK YA" to everyone who wished me a happy 22nd.. and i leave you with these:
