Ugh, as you can tell, I've been watching anime. Actually, today I dedicated myself to watching the entire season of Mawaru Penguindrum (a friend rec'd it to me, and I had seen it everywhere so I got curious). I can't even begin to describe my feelings for it; it basically did a total Madoka on me (I don't want to spoil anything in case anyone on my flist is watching it/will eventually watch it). It hurts to watch the last half of the series... I'm not crying or breaking down because of it, but I definitely can't watch this with a straight face. I feel so numb watching it... though maybe that's because I've spent the whole day watching it. I'm probably not the only one, but I immediately fell in love with Shouma, mostly because - come on - he's adorable... then as the show went on... I realised just what was going on inside of him... it's just... ugh... on another note, I ship him with Kanba, ho ho ho. 8D
Man, since the beginning of last year, I've watched so much anime... way more than I did in the past... I should write down a list.
- Puella Magi Madoka Magica
- Ano Hana
- Sekaiichi Hatsukoi
- Housou Musuko
- Sasameki Koto
- Usagi Drop
- Mawaru Penguindrum
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, and back then when I watched NARUTO and other anime, I was the otaku of my group... now I truly am one. I'm thinking of watching Shigofumi tomorrow too. /no life orz
And on a lighter note, CD Japan emailed me and told me my Sexy.Honey.Bunny DVD has been shipped! AAAAAAHHHH, I can't wait! I just want to watch the con so bad! (and the extras too~! :3)
Lolol, that reminds me. I wonder why people go out of their way to buy all three versions of the DVD. I understand where they're coming from in that each version has different extras, and yes I would do the same too I guess. I have nothing against people who do it, in fact I respect them for doing so; they're dedicated to what they love, and they're supporting them (and the company lol). I just... I don't think I would ever do it myself. Perhaps it's because I'm only a teenager and I obviously don't have the money to afford it, nor can I use that much of my parents' money without feeling guilt. Perhaps it's because I know that once the extras are uploaded online, I won't even need to watch my DVD except for the con itself. Watching extras on my widescreen TV is fun for a while... but that's it... maybe I'm not as big of a fan as I thought I was.
I would probably get in a lot of trouble too. Maybe it's a collectors thing; I used to collect books, and I had seen people who would collect different versions of the same thing... I never really understood why.
