We are smiling broadly.
John Hill and I are engaged! We have rings, a date (Sept. 24) and invitations are in process. The wedding will be right at sunset in our back yard. Kindly hope for good weather. All the children are coming with blessings (they knew each other as kids so this part is very cool)and so is my sister and step-mom; John's folks are gone,unfortunately,and my dad is no longer able to travel... but everybody else will join us, including lots of friends. The college roared with approval yesterday when we announced at an all-college meeting.
We have tended these past weeks to be teary with sentimental happiness and look forward to filling our home with joy in the years to come. I am hopelessly in love with this man, and he with me, and so it has been for over two years now. I feel very fortunate.
