so i'm finally home...
wow.
i'm home. and it's been a long time.
i miss all you guys soooooo much. you don't even know.
but i just have to say (bear with me here please) that beaver camp is seriously the most amazing place in the world.
if you ever get sick of florida and need to just get away for the summer and want to work with some of the most amazing people in the world, grow MUCH MUCH stronger in your walk with Christ, and make lasting friendships that never fade (this is starting to sound like an advertisement) send in an application. seriously. i would love it if any of you worked with me there next summer. i promise you would love it.
the staff there are so accepting. you can be who you are and not have to care what anyone thinks. everyone get's along. if there is anything of Heaven here on earth i know i've found it.
ok now that that's out of the way (you should seriously consider all i've just said...) on to different things.
i've learned a few about myself this summer...
1. first of all i love heights. there is nothing more thrilling than leaning backwards to repel off a cliff with nothing but a rope with a few knots tied in it to keep you alive or attaching yourself to a giant swing that drops you off a rock climbing tower and lets you swing till you stop. it's exhilarating.
2. also, nature really gets to me. i was walking to my cabin at 11:45 one night and looked up to see the stars and they literally took my breath away. i've never seen anything like it. and the lake in the morning was absolutely amazing. i couldn't tear my eyes from it.
3. i also love thunder storms. especially in a cabin by the lake at night. i can't even describe to you what THAT was like.
4. i'm not as shy as i thought i was. i absolutely LOVE conversation. i could sit and just talk for hours. and i've discovered i'd much rather talk to guys than girls. girls are just too...judgmental i guess. it's just so much easier to have a quality conversation with a guy. they actually listen.
5. guitars are amazing. and if you're a guy and you play guitar i'm probably infatuated with you. haha
6. british people make this world go round. they're the funniest and most loving people on the planet. especially one named ben doolan. haha
