It had been a week since the coffee dates, and Yesung and Sungmin hadn't confessed to each other. It wasn't that they were purposely avoiding the matter; they just didn't want to force it. Not to say that the atmosphere had to be perfect and everything, but obstacles kept cropping up.

Yesung was definitely ready to confess. However, some unforeseen personal matters had suddenly cropped up so he barely spent any time in the dormitory. By the time he got back, there was only Kyuhyun waiting up for him in the living room, his pale face illuminated by the blue glow from his laptop.

Sungmin, on the other hand, seemed to have lost most of the tenacity he once sported during his mission. Once highly enthusiastic and cheeky, he was now uncertain and hesitant. Now that emotions were involved, Sungmin would sometimes doubt if Yesung really did love him.

"Don't say that, hyung!" Ryeowook would tell him whenever Sungmin voiced out his concerns. "Yesung-hyung loves you and he would never use you. You know that."

Sungmin sighed. "I don't know why but I just can't help but think so."

-

An upcoming performance forced Yesung and Sungmin to leave their problem aside for the time being. It was the first performance in a long time that all 13 members were participating, so their manager was on edge and insisted on extra rehearsals. Adding up Yesung's personal matters and other activities, there was barely any time to themselves, much less for a confession.

-

On the morning of the performance, Sungmin was the first person up in the 11th storey dormitory. He trudged to the bathroom sleepily and splashed a considerable amount of water on his face with his eyes still half-closed. Rubbing his face absently, Sungmin walked out and bumped into someone.

"I-I'm sorry," Sungmin mumbled sleepily.

"That's alright, Min." Every trace of drowsiness disappeared as soon as Sungmin registered the owner of the voice. He looked up to face the person and immediately, his eyes widened.

Yesung's eyes were unfaltering as they stared back into Sungmin's. Yesung reached out slowly and slid his hand under Sungmin's chin.

"Min, we need to talk," Yesung said solemnly. "Meet me in the balcony when we come back from our performance, please?"

Sungmin gave a feeble moan of acknowledgment. Yesung's hand moved from Sungmin's chin to his lips, tracing its contours delicately. Sungmin noticed the almost longing look on Yesung's face. His throat started to constrict out of guilt.

It was extremely difficult, but Sungmin managed to suppress the urge to cry yet again.

-

Sungmin was in a daze. As the members were gathered in the makeup room of the studio to change into their outfits, Sungmin fumbled as he buttoned up his shirt. His sweaty fingers slipped off the buttons constantly and he stepped unsteadily into his pants. Once done changing, he sat quietly on the sofa in the corner. Only when Ryeowook approached him did a smile flicker across his face.

From another corner of the makeup room, Yesung followed Sungmin's every action anxiously.

"Relax, hyung," A deep voice commented from behind him. "If you keep frowning like that, your brows will be permanently frozen like that."

Yesung turned and shifted his attention towards Kyuhyun, whose expression was of mild concern. Yesung sighed tiredly. He leaned onto Kyuhyun's shoulder, and the maknae reached out to pat his back comfortingly.

While Sungmin was on the receiving end of Yesung's surveillance, that didn't mean that he wasn't watching Yesung as well. Sensing his nerviness, Ryeowook placed his hand over Sungmin's hand and squeezed it gently.

-

During the performance, both Yesung and Sungmin immersed themselves in the music and the loud fan chants. Their performance was a much-needed escape as they concentrated on their fans, who were cheering wildly.

-

The performance seemed to have lifted Sungmin's spirits considerably. He was chatting animatedly with Ryeowook, giggling at the eternal maknae's impossibly cute whining.

"...Seriously, I can't wait to get back to the apartment! My feet are aching!" Ryeowook ended his whine with a pout.

Apartment?

"Hyung?" Ryeowook bent down to read Sungmin's face, which was now frozen in apprehension.

Yesung-hyung wanted to talk to me. In about an hour's time, I'm going to face him on the balcony. What is he going to say? What should I say? Should I prepare my confession? But what if-

"Hyung? What's wrong?" Ryeowook waved a hand in front of Sungmin's face. His forehead creased in worry when Sungmin didn't snap out of his haze. Sungmin's delicate features were crinkled in worry, and his forehead was covered with a thin sheen of perspiration.

"I-I need to go to the restroom," Sungmin mumbled weakly, before shuffling past Ryeowook and the rest of the members behind them.

Yesung's eyes narrowed when Sungmin walked past him. He made his way towards Leeteuk, who was at the head of the line, and tapped him on the shoulder. When Leeteuk turned around, Yesung pointed his thumb towards the direction where Sungmin was headed.

"Sungmin suddenly went to the restroom. I think I should go check up on him just in case, hyung." Yesung informed Leeteuk.

Leeteuk nodded briefly and stared at Yesung's retreating figure as the latter went after Sungmin. He bit his lip concernedly.

-

Locking himself inside a restroom cubicle, Sungmin sank unceremoniously onto the toilet seat and rested his face in his hands. Panting heavily, Sungmin tried desperately to calm his thoughts.

"Min?" Sungmin's head snapped up immediately upon hearing Yesung's voice.

"Min, I know you're here," Yesung said gently.

From underneath the toilet door, Yesung's shadow peeked through. Sungmin's eyes dropped to the shadow and his breathing became shallow.

Why did he have to come? Why him?

Yesung's knuckles rapped on the cubicle door. "What's wrong, Min? If you tell me, I can help you."

But I don't want you to see me like this.

"Let me in, Min. Please," Yesung beseeched once more.

Sungmin stood up shakily and rubbed his sweaty palms on his pants. Unlocking the door with his trembling fingers, Yesung's anxious face greeted him. Yesung's eyes softened when he took in Sungmin's disorientated state. Sungmin stepped back to let the other in, and Yesung walked in, closing the door behind him.

Yesung cupped Sungmin's soft cheeks and brought his head upwards. Sungmin slowly reached out to grasp Yesung's hands and stared back into Yesung's moist eyes silently.

"Don't cry, Min," Yesung pleaded almost helplessly as he inched closer to Sungmin.

It was only then that Sungmin realised that he had been crying. Unconscious of when the tears had started to fall, he burst into soft sobs. Fisting Yesung's shirt tightly, he buried his tear-stricken face in Yesung's chest.

"Yesung-hyung..." Sungmin sniffled. "Why?"

"Why what, Min?" Yesung cooed gently as he rested his chin on top of Sungmin's head.

"I don't deserve your kindness, I don't deserve anything from you. Why are you so nice to me?"

"Because I love you, Min." Was Yesung's immediate reply.

Sungmin pulled away from Yesung's chest and looked up to face him. Yesung's dark eyes were honest, sincere and hopeful.

"I love you, Lee Sungmin," Yesung started. "I've loved you for a very long time."

Yesung brushed away Sungmin's fringe and pressed his lips to Sungmin's temple.

"I'm sorry that I've been hurting you for the past few weeks. Please forgive my foolishness. From now on, I promise to take care of you and make you happy."

Yesung moved his lips to Sungmin's nose and pecked it lightly.

Leaning in to rest his forehead against Sungmin's, Yesung took in a deep breath before saying the last part of his confession.

"Please accept my feelings, Min."

"Yes," Sungmin whispered.

"I love you too, Yesung-hyung. And y-yes, I accept your feelings." Sungmin's bottom lip quivered as he finally confessed his feelings.

Yesung smiled. Closing the gap between them, Yesung captured Sungmin's lips in a chaste kiss. Sungmin's eyes closed blissfully and he wrapped his arms around Yesung's shoulders, further lessening the distance between them.

It was everything Sungmin had imagined and more. Yesung had applied such light pressure, it was almost as if their lips weren't touching at all. Unlike their previous kisses, which were forceful and rushed, this kiss was gentle, soft and full of feeling.

When Yesung's tongue darted out and licked at Sungmin's bottom lip tentatively, Sungmin parted his lips without a second thought. Now that he knew Yesung truly loved him, Sungmin allowed himself to melt under Yesung's tender touch and responded into the kiss with unbridled fervour.

He loves me. Yesung-hyung loves me.

-

It had been around fifteen minutes since Yesung had went after Sungmin and there was still no sign of either one of them. Leeteuk was getting restless, and his jumpiness in turn affected the rest of the members.

Heechul got off the armchair he was perched on and headed over to stop Leeteuk, who was pacing the makeup room, in his tracks. He whispered in Leeteuk's ear, and the leader nodded in response.

"Kyuhyun-ah," Heechul said loudly. "Go and get Yesung and Sungmin. Now."

From his position against the wall, Kyuhyun straightened his back and said defiantly, "Why should I?"

"Because you're the maknae," Heechul shot back. "And you've been doing a crappy job of it, really, so you best make up for it right now."

Kyuhyun glowered at Heechul. He cast a furtive glance at Ryeowook before heading out of the make-up room.

Leeteuk sighed. "You didn't have to be so harsh, Heechul-ah."

Heechul shrugged, obviously unaffected by Kyuhyun's scowl. "We both know that we don't mean it. Besides, he's the best choice to fetch them, isn't he?"
-

Yesung was busy planting butterfly kisses along Sungmin's jawline when the restroom door suddenly creaked open. Yesung paused while Sungmin blinked confusedly. The clacking footsteps were drawing nearer and nearer before it came to a stop in front of the cubicle they were in.

"Hey hyung, are you in there?" Kyuhyun called out.

"Which hyung?" Yesung intoned. Sungmin let out a chuckle, and immediately, his hand shot up to cover his mouth.

"The both of you, obviously," Kyuhyun drawled. "Heechul-hyung sent me to fetch you guys. So get out of there now, would you?"

The cubicle door was unlocked with a click and Yesung and Sungmin stepped out of the cramped cubicle. Yesung had his arms possessively around Sungmin's waist and Sungmin's cheeks were flushed. Kyuhyun rolled his eyes and laughed good-naturedly.

"So I'm guessing that everything's fine between the two of you now?" Kyuhyun inquired, his arms crossed as he waited expectantly for a reply.

Yesung and Sungmin smiled at each other. One of Yesung's hands slipped from Sungmin's waist to his hand and they intertwined their fingers automatically.

"Everything's more than fine, Kyu," Yesung revealed bashfully.

Kyuhyun's lips quirked into a smile when his eyes fell on their interlaced fingers. "Well, it's about time."

-

When Yesung, Sungmin and Kyuhyun pushed open the door to the makeup room, the room instantly buzzed with questions as the rest of the members demanded to know where Yesung and Sungmin were and what they were up to.

Yesung raised his and Sungmin's hands in the air to show the rest of the members.

"We're together," Yesung said simply.

The members shot out from their seats and swarmed onto the couple. Kyuhyun stepped back quietly as the couple was bombarded with questions like "So when did you start liking each other?" and "Who made the first move?" Kyuhyun's side was gently prodded and he turned to see Ryeowook smiling up at him. Kyuhyun smiled back and threw an arm around Ryeowook's shoulder.

"Finally, huh?" Ryeowook sighed contentedly.

"Yeah, finally," Kyuhyun echoed.

Moved by their band members' overwhelming support, Sungmin shyly hid his face in the crook of Yesung's neck. Yesung laughed amiably and patted Sungmin's back.

"Come on, Yesung-hyung!" Donghae cried out happily. "Kiss Sungmin-hyung!"

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" The rest of the members started to chant. Yesung smiled and blinked at Sungmin, requesting for his approval. Sungmin nodded and Yesung bent down to kiss him.

More cheers and even a few cat calls were heard. Sungmin snuggled into Yesung's side, as the other man had an arm around him and declared to the rest that he was officially Sungmin's boyfriend. Sungmin couldn't help but giggle at Yesung's possessiveness.

Mission: Seducing Mr. Oblivious, accomplished.
