Summary: When Zhou Mi and Sungmin got together, they generated high levels of positive energy and a generous amount of jealousy.
"Yi Sheng-gege!" Zhou Mi was practically singing as he waltzed into their shared room. Zhou Mi stopped mid-prance and surveyed the room quizzically. Yesung was nowhere in sight.
"Eh?" Was the first thing that Zhou Mi uttered. He pursed his lips and scanned the room desperately. His eyes soon landed on the blanket-covered lump on Yesung's bed.
Zhou Mi walked towards Yesung's bed and quickly pulled the blanket off. Instantly, Yesung curled defensively into a ball. He clutched his humongous stuffed turtle doll tightly and let out a muffled groan.
"Yi Sheng-gege!" Zhou Mi called out. "Wake up! I need to tell you something so very important!"
Yesung allowed himself about ten more seconds of futile wishing that Zhou Mi would just go away before blearily blinking his eyes open. Sitting upright in his bed slowly, a loud yawn escaped his lips. He immediately shot Zhou Mi a blank stare, causing the younger man to flinch.
"This better be good," Yesung demanded, rubbing his eyes tiredly. "I was performing on the summit of Mt. Fuji when you woke me up."
Zhou Mi quickly regained his composure and took Yesung's hands into his. He leaned forward and beamed into Yesung's face with a smile so bright, Yesung wondered if it was humanly possible. At that particular moment, Zhou Mi's smile was akin to drawing the blinds and letting sunlight stream directly into the room.
Zhou Mi inhaled deeply. "Yi Sheng-gege," He started softly. "I, I am in love!" Then he started to laugh that tinkling laugh of his, as if the mere thought of that person caused Zhou Mi's brain to immediately cease proper functioning.
"I just came back from a date with him. I asked him to be my boyfriend. And he said yes!" Zhou Mi started to grip Yesung's hands so hard, Yesung was losing feeling in his fingers fast.
With much difficulty, Yesung pulled his hands out of the younger's surprising iron grip and massaged them until he regained feeling in both of his hands. Zhou Mi stared at him all the while, wide-eyed and expectant and waiting for his response.
"So..." Yesung coughed awkwardly. "Who's the lucky fellow?"
"It's Sheng Min!"
Yesung's eyes bulged out of his sockets. "You're joking, right?"
Upon seeing Zhou Mi's face fall, Yesung instantly wished that he could take it back.

Kyuhyun planted himself in front of the computer desk. Game face on, he switched on his laptop and cracked his knuckles in anticipation.
"Kyuhyun-ah!" Sungmin's voice interrupted his internal self-talk on strategies, units and diversion tactics. Wheeling his chair around rather reluctantly, Kyuhyun was taken aback by the sight before him.
Sungmin was holding a small bouquet of flowers and the smile he had on was so bright, the bedroom light was pathetically dim in comparison.
"What's going on?" Kyuhyun crossed his arms, demanding an answer.
Sungmin giggled. He breathed in the flowers and let out a dreamy sigh.
"I think I'm in love, Kyu." Sungmin revealed shyly before bursting into a fit of giggles. He brought the bouquet to his chest, a silly grin plastered on his face as he inhaled the flowery scent wafting from it yet again.
Kyuhyun watched Sungmin with a blank expression. It was just too weird to see Sungmin act like this offstage. It was scaring him, to be honest.
"He gave you those flowers?" Kyuhyun cocked an eyebrow at the pink daisies. Sungmin nodded slowly and he looked heavenwards, smiling as he recollected the memory. "He took me out to dinner and at the end of it, he gave me these flowers and asked me to be his boyfriend! Oh, Kyu! It was so romantic!"
"Uh, okay," Kyuhyun scratched his head, his mind racing with potential suspects. "Well, who is it?"
"Zhou Mi." Colour started to flood his cheeks when Sungmin said his name.
"What." Was the only answer that Kyuhyun could muster. "Really?" He managed, after a few seconds.
Sungmin took Kyuhyun's marked skepticism as calculating disbelief. Bounding over to Kyuhyun, he whipped out his cell phone energetically and thrust it into Kyuhyun's face.
"We took a selca together before we ended the date! To mark the start of our relationship!" He chirped.
Kyuhyun examined the cell phone's wallpaper. Zhou Mi had an arm slung around Sungmin's shoulder and the both of them were flashing equally broad smiles that were dripping with saccharine and sunshine.
All logic flew out the window when Kyuhyun read all the cues in the photo and concluded that the pair was really in love, and that it wasn't an elaborate prank. (Besides, it was only March.)
As Kyuhyun's head tried to wrap itself around the idea of Zhou Mi and Sungmin together, his forehead throbbed painfully.

Before going to sleep, both Yesung and Kyuhyun silently prayed that whatever happened an hour earlier was all just a bad dream. Yesung had also wanted to pray for a continuation of his Mt. Fuji dream but he decided not to be too greedy, lest it didn't come true.

The next day, Yesung and Kyuhyun could only watch in mild horror as Zhou Mi and Sungmin stood in the middle of the living room of the 12th storey dorm. The rest of the SJ family sat around them, looking at the pair curiously.
"Well," Heechul spoke up, hands akimbo. "What's the special announcement?"
Zhou Mi looked at Sungmin, who gave a shy smile in return. Taking Sungmin's hand, Zhou Mi proudly announced to the group, "Sungmin and I are together!"
Much to Yesung's and Kyuhyun's chagrin, none of the other members' displayed any shocked expressions or voiced out their objections. On the contrary, they were highly receptive towards their relationship.
Leeteuk clapped both Zhou Mi and Sungmin on the back and made Zhou Mi promise that he would take good care of Sungmin. Heechul winked at Zhou Mi and told him that he would definitely have a fun time with Sungmin. Shindong and Ryeowook were discussing throwing a party to celebrate their relationship. Eunhyuk and Donghae were gamboling around the new couple, teasingly revealing juicy secrets concerning Sungmin. Siwon had his arms around Zhou Mi and Sungmin and told his hyungs that he would pray for them everyday. Henry was simply his cute self as he congratulated his hyungs and dodged their hands expertly when they reached out to pinch his cheeks.
Kyuhyun sat passively on the couch, clutching a cushion. Yesung joined him, resting his head on the younger's shoulder.
"I can't believe it," Yesung confessed.
Kyuhyun laughed dryly. "My sentiments exactly."
The both of them spent the rest of the time staring at the smiling couple gloomily.
-
A week into their relationship, there was an obvious difference in Sungmin. While it was well-known that Sungmin wore a bubbly facade in front of the camera, Sungmin started to display the same cheerful behaviour behind the camera as well. Leeteuk hugged the cute member tightly, crying in happiness over his positive change in behaviour.
As for Zhou Mi, his smile, if it was even possible, became even more brighter. Whenever he was around Sungmin, he would always wrap his arms around the smaller man's waist and regularly whisper into Sungmin's ear, eliciting giggles from the other.
Yesung sought the solace of Kyuhyun, who understood him fully. The both of them banded together and spent more time as a pair. Yesung would watch Kyuhyun tap away on his keyboard and Kyuhyun would help during the turtles' feeding time.
As time went by, the intense amount of jealousy that Yesung and Kyuhyun harboured towards their best friend's boyfriend melted away. Yesung found out that Kyuhyun, despite his evil smirk, liked being spoiled rotten by his hyungs. Kyuhyun looked past the indifferent expression that Yesung always wore and discovered that he was actually a total goofball and doted on everyone.
This arrangement soon caught the attention of Zhou Mi and Sungmin.

"Yi Sheng-gege!" Zhou Mi sat on the edge of Yesung's bed. Yesung put down the magazine that he was reading and tilted his head questioningly.
"Yeah?"
Zhou Mi was wearing a cheeky grin, which made Yesung frown slightly.
"I see that you're not jealous of me and Minnie anymore," Zhou Mi said, his grin growing even wider.
Yesung didn't bother to deny it. "Yeah, I suppose I was."
"Suppose?" Zhou Mi's eyebrow quirked playfully. "It was painfully obvious, Yi Sheng-gege."
Yesung leaned back onto the headboard, throwing his hands back in defeat. "Alright, alright. I was guilty. I'm sorry about my immature behaviour, Mi."
Zhou Mi simply shook his head. "It's understandable, gege. But you know that you'll always be my best friend, right?"
"Mhmm." A small smile tugged at Yesung's lips.
"And you'll always be my best shopping buddy! Sungmin always drags me to some store filled with so much pink items! It's so overwhelming, it hurts my eyes sometimes," Zhou Mi made a show of covering his eyes.
Yesung punched Zhou Mi's shoulder playfully as the both of them laughed together for the first time in weeks.

Kyuhyun laid on his bed, his attention squarely focused on his portable game console. There was a slight pressure on his bed, causing Kyuhyun to pause his game right away.
"Kyuhyun!" Sungmin greeted sweetly.
"Hyung," Kyuhyun greeted back. He sat upright and stowed away his game console into the nightstand.
Sungmin looked at Kyuhyun fondly, making Kyuhyun wonder if his hyung had officially lost it.
"So..." Kyuhyun tried to start a conversation. "What's up?"
Sungmin smiled. "I've noticed that you've grown closer to Yesung-hyung."
Kyuhyun shrugged dismissively. "So we have. What's wrong with that?"
"Well, It's much better than moping over my relationship with Mi."
Kyuhyun objected immediately. "I did no such thing!"
Sungmin rolled his eyes. "Kyuhyun, you're my best friend. Don't try to deny it."
Kyuhyun turned away to lay face down on his bed. He buried his face into the pillow, embarrassed that he was found out. Sungmin simply laughed at his antics and started to pat Kyuhyun's back affectionately.
"I was just jealous." Came Kyuhyun's muffled voice.
"I know," Sungmin answered easily.
"Yesung-hyung's really nice."
"I know that too."
Kyuhyun slowly turned away from his pillow and gave Sungmin a pointed look.
"We'll always be best friends right, hyung?" Kyuhyun questioned uncertainly.
Sungmin let out a soft chuckle. "Of course, Kyuhyunnie. Of course."

A/N: HOLD YOUR HORSES; I DIDN'T WRITE YEMIN!
Anyway, this just popped into my head. I genuinely like MiMin and I don't see them as a joke pairing, alright? For me, MiMin>QMiMin>KyuMin>QMi. Yeah.
