So this is my English assignment for the one-week holiday. I still have to write a speech, though I didn't have to type it. I didn't want to name my role models so it kinda got messy. Actually, my role models are Eos, a childhood friend, and Tegoshi Yuya from NEWS. Weird, having an idol as a role models, huh. The part about him will explain why, though. Just a warning, it's a bit BLEH because not naming them made my brain all confuzzled.

Most people stop to ponder what exemplary means, whenever they hear that word. Exemplary means worthy of imitation. In short, someone exemplary is someone you look up to, in life; a role model. I have a few role models in life, too.
One of them is a childhood friend that I have known when coming to Singapore was still a vacation. She shows exemplary before in school, at home and with us. I admire her the most because no matter how much life is hard for her, she never fails to show a smile. She was nominated to be her school’s student council president but declined it so that she can continue to manage her school’s NPCC unit. Still, she continued to be part of the executive council as the Vice-President. Though this is impressive, what I have always looked up to her is how she can handle all these plus all her personal stuff. As a close family friend, I know some stuff that is greatly affecting her, mentally. Sometimes, I would stop to think what she might do in those times because I really couldn’t imagine myself going through the same things and not have it show that it was affecting me. Still, I will always be left in awe at how she proceeds with life, looking as carefree as ever. Even so, she is human so, sometimes, she opens up to me and I could always sense the relief in her voice so matter how calm she talks.
Even so, people with exemplary behavior are humans too. To me, being exemplary is not just about giving the image of a perfect person because no one is perfect. To me, someone exemplary is one that gives their best in whatever they do as it would benefit others, no matter how much they may suffer.
Another one of my role models is someone I do not know in real life but through the Internet. It may seem unbelievable but I really look up to this person a lot. At a young age, his talents were acknowledged but as much as this was a blessing, it was also something that he couldn’t handle at a young age. Nobody paid much attention to him as he was new to the industry and they thought that he did not deserve it as there were others who spent a longer time in the industry and deserved to be acknowledged first. Despite all that, he held on even through the times where he thought of quitting. Today, he is one of the most admired seniors in their industry but that never got to his head. He still continues to be humble and help out his juniors.
There is a Filipino saying where it is translated as, “A person who does not know how to look back from where he came from would not be able to reach his dreams”. This is one of the values I look up to the most. So to me, someone who displays this character is of exemplary behavior.
Looking back, I feel that the definition of exemplary varies from each person but still have that feel of admiration. Exemplary, to me, is when one displays a characteristic or personality worth following.
