He was running through the forest, and didn’t dare to look behind him. The wind and the rain were hurting his face, but he was still running. Saving his life was more important than some wounds.
“This can’t be real!” He screamed when he tripped his right foot on a root and fell on the ground.
The other man was coming closer, and the poor man felt his heart beating faster as the monster was nearer. Why? What happened? Everything were perfect, what has he done to deserve it?
‘Please, if I’m dreaming, somebody wake me up, please!’ Though the desperate man, his fingers clenched around his hurt legs.
The steps sounded louder, he was near! Within a minute, the monster would find him, laying down on the wet and dirty grass, helpless. The branches moved and a silhouette would be seen.
“Noooooooooo!!” Screamed the poor man, his arms crossed before his eyes and fearing his future death.
“There you are Kazu!” Said Ohno, kneeling slowly besides Nino.
“Are you hurt?” He asked gently as he caressed the other’s hurt and red cheeks.
“G…GO AWAY! LET ME ALONE!!!” Shouted Nino, shivering. He could feel it, even if Ohno haven’t touched it yet, he could feel it.
“Kazu…are you alright?” Asked Ohno, putting his hand on Nino’s forehead and checking he hadn’t a fever. “Don’t seem hot…”
That monster! He was faking his gentleness, Nino was sure about it. He wasn't daydreaming the last time, Ohno did it! But there was no way that he would become Ohno’s appropriations! NO WAY!
“Come Kazu, it’s late…” Asked Ohno gently, as he was helping Nino to stand up. Once he was free from all hindrance, Nino started to run again; but it was too late. The monster caught him.
“AAAAAAAHHHH!!” Screamed Nino under the touch. Ohno caught his butt and was groping it. It was over.
“Kazu…Kazu…Kazu, wake up!” Ohno whispered worried, shaking his lover’s shoulder gently.
Nino opened his eyes and gasped for air. A dream? It was just a dream, right? This is the reality, isn’t it? Nino turned his head towards Ohno, who was still worried.
“Are you alright?” He asked, his fingertips caressing softly the wet cheeks.
“Ye…yeah…Just a nightmare…” Nino said under his breath, wiping the sweat on his forehead.
Ohno put him down and hugged him on the bed: “Shh…it’s alright…you’re with me, now…” Said Ohno, as he slowly fell asleep.
Nino, he, wasn’t sleeping at all. His eyes wide open, still shaking a little, he swallowed hard. He didn’t fall asleep anymore, his attention focused on Ohno’s hands, and praying for them to remain on his chest. Maybe he should stop gropping Ohno’s butt? Before his nightmare became real.
Fear Ohno’s vengeance….

Nino's head jerked up in response to the loud sound of the doorbell ringing, his eyes like those of a mad scientist. Before the unwelcome interruption, he had been expanding his Harvest Moon farm on his DS; he was up to buying his horse and setting up the barn! He abruptly pauses his game and debates whether or not to answer the door, before sighing and rising from his comfortable position on the rug to make his way to the entrance with sluggish movements.
A formidably sized box finds itself in the path of his feet [on which he had donned well-worn socks decorated with polka-dots and bunnies, courtesy of Aiba] and he trips. Cursing the box's existence, he grows more aware of his surroundings; as he looks around the room, he remembers his decision to find an apartment of his own. Just thinking about setting up his apartment made him weary, but he swore to create a successful bid of independence. A tired but pleased smile touched his lips.
His only attempt to better his disheveled appearance is to run his fingers through his hair, which did little to help and probably tousled it even more. Well, he never had been concerned with his appearance before [he didn't need to be associated with people who judged based on only his appearance, and the television set and his gaming consoles provided more than enough entertainment than a few additional friends could], so why start now.
Nino opens his door to a familiar back. The owner of the back is turned away, busy watching the sunrise; he appears enraptured, his lips slightly apart and his eyes concentrating on the horizon. Nino had read somewhere that there was good luck to be found in having the main door to one's home face east. Not that he was superstitious. Who would actually believe that certain numbers, as well as stepping on cracks, were unlucky? Silly, preposterous ideas.
His visitor turns to face him, and his lingering annoyance is dissipated. There was not a person who could stand up to that smile, in his opinion. Ohno holds up a box of tools and gestures at the odd assortment next to him: rolls of wallpaper, various pieces of wood, and his mother's lunch that was meant for two. ...or four, or five.
No words are exchanged, just looks. Nino moves aside, Ohno walks in. They nod, and set to work. Mutual understanding is treasured by both. Nino is thankful; he does not know how he would express his appreciation and his love in words. Instead, there is the towel he passes Ohno for his sweat, the snacks that are Ohno's favorites lying in the corner, the fierce hug that is given, and the sweet, teasing kisses.
When Aiba, Sho, and Jun show up later with ladders, buckets of paint, and brushes, Nino almost chokes up; he saves his reputation with his clever wit and scathing tongue, but they just laugh. They know him well enough.
As they paint, Nino makes sure that when he's not on the ladder, he avoids it. He's not paying particular attention to steer clear of the ladder, or rather, not go under it; no, not at all. It just happens naturally, for safety reasons. The ladder could topple ... Okay, so he might be a little bit superstitious [Aiba's rubbing off on him]. But he can't help that he doesn't want to lose this yet, this warm feeling that started at the pit of his stomach and blossomed. His apartment had been bare, walls free of decoration and rooms cold, with Nino and his DS as the only occupants; now, as his meandering gaze goes over the room, he has never seen a better place to call home.
