Fanfic Masterpost ++++++++++
Like any other person, Jun wasn’t considered normal. People around him recognized him as the boy who had gone lunatic over spilt milk. But anyone who didn’t know him well only made those assumptions so he steered clear from the rest of the world. With his parents, and no one else left gone from his world, he had no choice to but to become the way he was now: a homeless beggar.
On his way to school, there was a huge circle forming near all the cherry blossom trees. Jun curiously headed towards that direction; no one has noticed him yet. He couldn’t see well and only shouting coming from the crowd. When he took another step forward, all the screaming stopped and all eyes were on him. Soon, the crowd disappeared before his eyes, and he was left alone again. Sighing, he turned around but was stopped when his shoulder was taken a hold of.
“I’m sorry you have to see that,” a tough voice behind him said, “I didn’t mean to beat him up but he was talking bad about you and I couldn’t stand it. I’d like to repay you.”
Scared and terrified, Jun didn’t respond and only ran away when he felt like his whole body was shaking like a mad Earthquake. No one had talked to him since middle school, and he was scared that the person might just bully him like the rest. Ignoring everyone around him giving him weird looks, he ran inside the school building and headed to the roof.
This place his safe haven where no one bothered to go to.He guessed it was because they weren’t allowed to, or were bothered by the bird poop. Picking the best spot, he dropped his crushed school bag on the floor and rested his body on it like the bed he had a long time ago. He hadn’t felt his comfortable like this in years until he heard the door open and close loudly. Jun didn’t move for a while, his body refusing to move. When he started to feel his body again, he got up and was ready to hide and run away when he felt the same grip on his shoulder.
“Stay. I’m not going to bite, really.”
Jun gulped when the person’s grip only tightened. For fear that he was going to be beaten to a pulp, he stayed behind, not moving from his spot. When the bell for class went off, he heard a soft sigh behind him.
“Is it really true that you have gone crazy? I don’t believe their words till I see it for myself.”
Huh? was what he wanted to say, but he felt like his voice box broke a long time ago.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Is it because you’re mad at me?”
Jun wanted to shake his head, but his whole body was frozen to the ground.
“I get it... then I’ll just leave.” He heard him say before hearing the person’s footsteps growing further away from him.
Jun didn’t move for a good two seconds when those footsteps were already sounding distant. As if his feet were remotely controlled, they turned around themselves and ran fast until he hit something and fell to the ground. His bag wasn’t as sturdy as it used to be with all those paper flying out of them. He immediately reacted and crawled on the floor, picking up every piece of paper. When he was almost finished, he saw a hand from the corner of his eyes.
Again, he was frozen. The papers in his hands were starting to shake along with his hands, and his knuckles were turning pale white. His intentions were to back away, but his hand disobeyed him and grabbed the helping hand.
He felt like a feather once he was lifted to his feet. He kept his head down, eyes on the cement floor, for fear that he would die just by one look in the person’s eyes. However, he felt soft fingers on his chin and his head was lifted up causing his eyes to lock with the person’s face.
“Jun, you really had changed since then. I know what happened to you and I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you. Please,” his voice started to sound like he was begging, “Let me take care of you. I promise--”
In what felt like forever, he opened his mouth and a weak “Who” came out. He was unable to finish the whole sentence after that one word caused a pain in his throat.
“I-It’s me! Sho! You... you forgot about me because of what happened?”
Jun shrugged his shoulders.
“Well it doesn’t matter. I just need an approval from you. And then we can...” the guy named Sho paused before speaking again, “...share what we had before I disappeared.”
Jun was so confused. He didn’t know this person and all of a sudden he was talking about sharing something. He tried his best to show his confused face and the person seemed to understand.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be so fast. I was just hoping you knew me after all those years...”
He remained silent but his eyes were still on the man’s face. Jun still felt like the man was a threat to him, that he was just being played. Slowly and carefully, he finally moved his eyes up and came in contact with the person’s eyes. He stared hard into his eyes without saying anything, and the feeling of dismay suddenly vanished. Taking a huge gulp, he slowly nodded his head and saw a huge smile form on the man’s face. Jun didn’t know he was smiling too after the man pulled him into a hug he hadn’t felt for a long time. He found himself doing the same thing, and asking himself if this was a new hope given to him as a blessing.
