The brown fur was patiently waiting like he was ordered too. But he felt like it was taking the human forever since his stomach was already making some weird sounds. His stomach was always like this whenever he was hungry, but he didn’t know why it was like that. So he waited and waited until his eyes closed.

Ohno stared at the man in front of him. He just stared and stared until Sho turned around with a faint blush on his face. He knows what he heard, but he wasn’t sure if he heard it right. Maybe his ears were playing with him, or Sho was just playing a joke. But he knows him too well that the younger man wasn’t as a jokester like Nino. When he heard the younger man sigh, he ignored it at first until the latter got up.

“W-wait!” Ohno quickly stood up, his head feeling a little light-headed.

“I’m sorry,” Sho apologized. “You might think I’m weird…”

“No! You’re not,” Ohno finally spoke and ran in front of the younger man. Out of impulse, he trashed himself on Sho and hugged him as tight as he could, not caring if the latter was losing his air. He nuzzled his cheeks against Sho’s neck, liking it when he felt the vibrations from his laughter.

“You mean you--”

“My answer is yes,” Ohno cut him off and pulled himself away from Sho. Ok so maybe being in the kitchen wasn’t the best place to be asked out but Ohno didn’t care. All that mattered was that Sho had finally asked him, and he’s been waiting for this since forever. He was glad that the younger had courage in him, while he was pushing away his own feelings for him. If it weren’t for him fetching food-- Wait, the dog! Ohno gasped, remembering the reason why this all happened.

“I love you Sho-kun, but I have a matter to attend to,” Ohno said in a hurry realizing that he had blurted out the first three words out of impulse again. He wasn’t the type to always be so… outward but since it was Sho, he was always so different around him. It was almost like Sho was revealing his other side.

Picking up the clean food, he dashed out of the kitchen and into his own room. As soon as he closed it, he sighed and let himself fall against the closed door. Today was a strange day, but altogether it was a good day too. He got to keep a dog, and Sho had asked him out. Putting the food aside, he ran to his bed and fell on it face first. He grabbed a pillow and squealed into it.

“Arf!”

Ohno stopped himself, embarrassed that his dog had seen him like this. “Oh,” Ohno sat up trying his best to hide a smile, “Hi…” Come to think of it, he hadn’t come up for a name for him. There were other possible names he could name him. Heck, he could give him an English dog name if he wanted to. But he didn’t know why the name Masaki stuck to his mind.

“I’ll call you Masaki!” Ohno told the dog.

“Arf!”

“Come here, Masaki!” He called for him while he patted an empty spot on the bed. However, Masaki didn’t move. He continued to lay down on the floor, his large brown eyes staring at him.

“Masaki,” He called for the dog, but he didn’t move.

“Forget it. I don’t even know why you’re mad at me. Here,” Ohno handed him a bowl he got from the kitchen to Masaki. “Eat this food. I’m going to sleep.”

All of a sudden, his mood changed and he felt worse. He didn’t even go to Sho and just went straight to sleep.

~*~
He heard the door slam loudly and he opened his eyes. The human was sighing against the door with a huge grin on his face. Just as he was about to bark, the human ignored him and ran over to the bed. He heard him make a weird noise right after and this time he barked, wanting to know why he made that weird noise.

“Oh,” the human sat up. “Hi…” The human paused for awhile and he wondered if there really something was wrong with the human. But then the human opened his mouth and said, “I’ll call you Masaki!”

He didn’t respond and only stared at him. He wanted to wag his tail after hearing his given name, but he didn’t feel happy at all.

“Come here, Masaki!” The human called for him while he was patting an empty spot.

Masaki didn’t move and continued to stare at him.

“Masaki,” the human called again but his voice had changed.

He sensed this and he wanted to be mad at him but he couldn’t. Being mad wasn’t a thing for him and all he could do was just stare at the human.

“Forget it. I don’t even know why you’re mad at me. Here,” the human handed him a bowl, “Eat this food. I’m going to sleep.”

Masaki waited until the human made a snoring sound. He rushed over to the bowl that was handed to him and he stuck his face it in. He opened his mouth to eat it all and when he finished, he pushed the bowl under the bed because it seemed the most suitable place to be in.

Masaki was about to sleep when he felt cold again like when he was outside. So he walked to the side of the bed, jumped on it, and pushed the human until he had enough space. Yawning, Masaki threw half of his body on the human, and finally closed his eyes when he felt at ease.

~*~
“What is this?!” Someone yelled, causing Ohno to fling his eyes open. He heard a soft whimper besides him and he realized he had been caught. He was meaning to tell them anyways, but he didn’t want to be discovered like this. Wait…since when did Masaki get on my bed?

“It’s obviously a dog!” Ohno answered and pushed the intruder away. He still couldn’t tell who it was since his eyes were closed, but he could tell that it was the brat. Even when he tried pushing him out, he knows that latter can resist him.

“Hell no it’s no fucking dog! You were sleeping with a man!”

“No I’m--”

“What’s going on here?” Another voice cut in. Ohno’s heart skipped a beat when he heard this voice, but now was not the time. He needed his sleep!

“Sho-kun he’s sleeping with a man!”

“It’s  a dog!” Ohno repeated again. The only man he would sleep with was Sho, not some random guy he had picked off the street. He didn’t even pick one up, but only Masaki who tempted him with those large brown eyes.

“Look,” Ohno rubbed his eyes trying to get rid of the strained feeling, “It’s a dog. Masaki, he must have went to my bed when I was sleeping.”

“Open your eyes, Satoshi!” Nino slapped him, and forcefully turned him around. “You think that’s a dog to you?”

“Of course he’s--” As Nino had ordered, his eyes were fully open. On his bed was a skinny man, fully naked and was curled into a ball. The man had a short brown hair, and there was a bruise like mark on his shoulder.

“Satoshi,” He heard his lover’s voice behind him. “W-what’s the meaning of this?”

Ohno turned around and faced his lover. He could see a deep concern on his face, and he noticed how there were dark circles under his eyes. Sho must have had trouble sleeping because of last night. “This isn’t what you think it is,” Ohno tried to explain while trying to give Nino looks to make him go away; he did though. “I swear this man wasn’t here last night! It was only Masaki, my dog! I didn’t do anything last night I swear!”

“Was this… the important matter you had to attend to last night?” Sho asked him with a weary voice.

“Oh my God, no!” Ohno yelled as he remembered why he had to go away last night. Now that the naked man was on his bed, his excuse made it look like it was a misunderstanding. Maybe the man was hiding Masaki somewhere and this was all Nino’s joke and Sho was part of it too.

“Masaki, where are you?!” Ohno called for the dog while Sho continued to stare at him with a worried face. “He’ll show up for sure. Masaki where are you?!”

“Right here,” a new voice groaned.

All their attention turned to Ohno’s bed and he saw the naked man rubbing his eyes on the back of hand. The man sat up on the bed with a cute, and sleepy look on his face. There was no fucking way this man was Masaki. All he remembered was Masaki was the stray dog he had picked up last night. His hair was even the same color as his fur, but that can be a coincidence… right?

“Ma-Masaki?” Ohno asked hoping the man wouldn’t answer.

“Arf! That’s me!” the man then stood on all four and pounced on Ohno causing him to fall on Sho. He didn’t even close his eyes but he still couldn’t get himself to believe that this same man was his dog.
