Ok, I personally don't feel what you did as plagiarism. You state from the very beginning that this is from the Chobits manga with Arashi playing the parts in it. It is different to a certain extent since the chobit in the manga is female and you write Nino as the chobit. I mean is this no different than Arashi being used in a version of Pride and Prejudice? Or Beauty and the Beast? I was reading your Chobits story and about halfway could not keep up with it. I planned to go back and catch up but now this happened. Fanfic itself is the use of real or thought up characters created by someone else. What people do in fanfic is plagiarism already so why are we so bent out of shape here? I can understand if someone creates a universe, planet, etc. that they made up in their fanfic and didn't want someone else to use without permission. But if you state plainly where yours was from. Sorry if I carried this rant on so long but I like your writing and I really get frustrated when the word plagiarism pops up in fanfic. Take care....I'm

Yeah, I understand what you're saying that's why it's really ironic how fanfics work. That's alright, I don't mind the rant, actually, and your comment made my day tbh. :D Thank you! I'll work my hardest on it, although It'll be a long and stressful process haha.

eh? is that be considered plagirism? i've not read the original manga so i have no idea. I think it's not plagiarism if you borrowed the chobits world only and didn't follow their storyline closely...

For me plagiarism is paradoxical, "inspiration" is considered plagiarized in a degree right? then the final inspiration is plagiarizing .. It's complicated to define the plagiarizing, after if the original author of the story is widely cited, it should not be a problem right? Moreover it remains in a structure such that the Fandom and not for sale somewhere.
Don't worry! Also your story is sole. :D

Yeah, it is paradoxical that is why I was kind of questioning if what I decided on was the right thing. But because it's my final decision, I'm gonna go through it and I've already have someone to help me anyway. I don't think it should be a problem either, but because I did copy quotes and followed the plot, nicefinalbeam and I decided that it's plagiarism. And yeah, I'm not selling it so that's why I was kind of iffy about putting Chobits off. But thank you!

I totally agree with gambitsfox, when you write a fic, there's some kind of plagiarism from the beginning and when your plot isn't completely yours, as long as you say it's based on something you read, watch etc...., I don't think it's plagiarism :) anyway, I think Nicefinalbeam does that to be sure we respect other's work and not to have any problem; in a way, I agree with her because there are true nasty writers who really steal people's work so, we have to be careful :)
It's sad this fic was considered as plagiarism but we can't help it, ne? :) don't worry, I think nobody really saw it as a plagiarism mostly when you mentionned it was based on Chobits, so, your readers won't let you down and will keep encouraging you :D Ganbatte my dear :D

Yeah, I agree with Gambitsfox too. But since I decided on it already, then I'll still go through it. Well, I know she addressed it towards respecting other's works, but I just had to PM her about Chobits because I really didn't feel right when I thought about plagiarism concerning Chobits. And yes, we definitely have to be careful.

I understand this feeling, it's normal, when you respect other's work, you don't want to make plagiarism :)
I'm glad it's encouraging you, you do great, keep writing like that :D I haven't read your fics for a while now, well, I don't read lots of fics this year because studies are crzy but when I'll be in vacations, I'll come back to your LJ, it's been a while since I read your fics :D
