Expose -- Day 153
“Say no to drugs,” Almost every adults told him when he was younger.
It seemed like the easiest thing for him to do back then, but now that he was an adult, it was much harder. It all began when he meet the new neighbor yesterday evening. He was just coming back from work when he bumped into someone on the way to the elevator.
He remembered being annoyed at that time after learning that his boss just changed his schedule for presentation. He’s been waiting for that day forever and even prepared his speech for the presentation (after hearing that it’s the only way for him to get promoted). But his boss decided to tell him the day before that they changed it to next month. All he wanted to do was to go home, have a nice long nap--
He snapped out of his zombie-like state and realized he bumped into a pile of boxes. Someone idiotic forgot to tape it that mostly all the contents were spilling out of the box -- in the middle of the mess, there was a pink boxer with what looked like dancing monkeys all over it. He couldn’t help but laugh. Never in his laugh had he seen anyone have those kinds of boxers, or those stuffed animals underneath it.
All of a sudden, the boxes and its contents began to move.
He rubbed his eyes, thinking that maybe it was the lack of sleeping playing with him. However, once he took a closer look, it moved again, and this time, he knew it wasn’t the lack of sleep. Maybe seeing things like these were better in TV, but definitely not in real life.
“Sakurai-san?”
He whirled around, sighing in relief that the apartment’s parole man showed up in time. Maybe he can exterminate whatever it was underneath the colorful jungle.
“Itoshi-san!” He gestured for the officer to come towards him, afraid that if he moved, a hand would come out and grab his ankles. “There’s something there...”
“Where?” The older man asked, alert and ready.
“There...” Sho pointed towards the pile, where once again, whatever it was was moving.
“It’s-- Hmm? Wasn’t Aiba-san just there earlier?”
That was a new name. He’s never heard of anyone in the apartment residing with that family name. “Who’s that?”
“He’s your new neighbor,” the officer said, scratching his head as if he was confused. “I swear I saw him here earlier...”
Great, a new, weird, neighbor. Everyone on the floor the same as his always seem to attract people with weird hobbies. There was Tenou-san who has this affinity for furry spiders, Katsushi-san who was a female otaku and cosplayer, Abe-san who hoarded useless things, and now this Aiba-san who likes animals. Hopefully, he doesn’t have animals with him -- not that it was a concern because animals weren’t allowed in the first place.
“Now where did he go?...”
Just then, there was a groan coming from the jungle. Sho immediately cowered away and pulled the older man as a shield.
“There he is!” The older man exclaimed, pulling himself away from Sho. “Sakurai-san, help me, will you?”
He refused and didn’t want to touch whatever it was, but it was rude to refuse an older man. After offering his help, the officer lightly tapped the pile of mess.
“Aiba-san? Are you there?”
A small groan came from the mess as a hand shot out of nowhere. Terrified, Sho cowered further away from the mess. Is it human?
“Yes, he’s here,” The officer confirmed. “Do you mind, Sakurai-san? I’ve lost half of my strength when I hit the 50s.”
There really was no going back, he thought. After all, the officer was a kind man, almost like a father to him ever since he moved in the apartment when he was still a college student. As he neared the hand, he closed his eyes and grabbed the hand. Surprisingly, it was warm and very human-like. Once he was on his feet did he finally open his eyes and saw a man standing before him. Maybe, Sho thought, he isn’t as weird as the other neighbors.
“Will you help me with this?” The man asked.
Sho couldn’t find it in himself to say no.
Stimulant -- Day 154
Sho almost found it hard to keep still. Actually, he couldn’t keep still -- like, a child during sugar rush. It was the same every morning, Sho noticed, that his new neighbor would come out of his apartment, stand in front of his door, and happily greet anyone who passed by. Of course, it was abnormal because rarely anyone did the same thing every morning, but Sho found himself responding back unlike his other neighbors before heading to work. He really couldn’t help it. The man was different.
Today was the same, too, and it has been a week since his new neighbor moved in -- a week since Sho began to have a weird sleeping cycle, actually. Every night as he lay awake on his king-sized bed, his mind would wander off to his new neighbor. The way the corner of his neighbor’s eyes would crinkle when he smiled wide, the way his laugh sounded so breathy when he shared jokes with another neighbor... Sho couldn’t get the man out of his head no matter how hard he focused on sleeping.
Never in his life had he felt so... awake -- almost as if he had drank an unlimited amount of coffee.
Addiction -- Day 155
Today was the day, Sho thought as he stood confidently behind his front door. It’s been two weeks now, since his new neighbor moved in, but not once had he talked to him. Well, except for the time when his new neighbor passed by every residents on the floor, handing out a basket of gratitude (Sho was only able to say a quick ‘hello, welcome to the neighborhood,’ before closing the door in front of his face; damn was he nervous). Taking a huge deep breath, he finally took a step outside. Once the door behind him closed, he stood dumbly on his welcome mat after realizing he actually didn’t have an excuse to talk to the new-ish neighbor.
“Now what?”
“‘Now what’ what?”
Sho jumped off to the side, startled by the sudden voice.
The voice laughed. Somehow, it sounded oddly familiar. “Sorry, I thought you knew I was here.”
He quickly stood back up on his feet, making sure that no one else was around to witness such an embarrassing moment.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you come out that much,” The voice pointed out. “I’ve only met you twice, I think... When I moved in and when I gave everyone baskets...”
“I--” Sho’s eyes widened once his eyes landed on a wide smile. All of a sudden, his palms began to sweat. “I...I...I’m S-Sakurai S-S-Sho...”
The new neighbor laughed. “I know, Sakurai-san. I read it on your nameplate.”
Stupid! “Haha, yeah,” He chuckled nervously.
For a second, there was this awkward silence. It felt like it lasted for an hour because neither talked.
“So what’s your occupation?” The new neighbor asked.
“Ah...uh...” What was it again? Damn! “An interior designer,” He managed to spit out. He considered himself the best in the Storm Architectural firm, but at least he had a decent job.
“Cool!” The latter beamed. “Perhaps... you can design my apartment for me!”
“P-pardon?!” He exclaimed in surprise. It seems, however, his neighbor took it as a refusal and pouted. Sho’s eyes immediately went to his lips.
“Ah... Then--”
“I’d like to!” Sho interrupted him without thinking. “I’d like to do it, Aiba-san.”
“Great! Can we start today? And call me Masaki, please.”
“Ok... M...Masaki-san...”
It was a complete pigsty in Aiba’s house and how he understood why the latter asked for his service. Although Aiba’s apartment was identical from his, it was completely different with all the mess hanging around. There were flat boxes laying around randomly on the floor; books, stuffed toys, clothes, and pieces of furniture were all scattered about randomly. Sho wondered, then, if Aiba requested cleaning service instead of interior redecoration.
“Sorry about the mess,” Aiba apologized. “But I didn’t know what to do and where to put it all, so I just left everything right here.”
Sho hummed thoughtfully. “Well, to start off, we should put away everything first.”
“Roger!” Aiba beamed before heading off to another room. Soon, he came back with a huge roll of plastic bags.
They went to work in no time, lifting things off and stuffing almost everything inside of the plastic bags. They weren’t finished, though, when Aiba asked him if he wanted coffee.
Sho nodded, thinking that maybe now’s the time he needed it to stay awake from the lack of sleep from the thoughts of-- He snapped out of it, thinking that now’s the time not to think of his neighbor. Oh, great, now he was thinking of him.
“Nevermind,” Sho called from the living room. “I’m fine without coffee.”
“Ok. But is it ok if we take a break?”
Sho looked at the plastic bags he had in his hand before giving it a thought. “Yeah,” He finally answered as he set the bags down.
“Are you sure you don’t want coffee?” Aiba asked him again. For some reason, Sho found himself unable to resist the pout on the latter’s face. It’s not like it’s a bad thing to have more caffeine anyways...
“Ok, I’ll have some.”
“Great!” Aiba beamed once again, immediately handing him a green cup of hot coffee.
Sho was an avid drinker of coffee, but he doesn’t drink from anywhere unless it was from his own coffeemaker, or from Starbucks. But he didn’t want to be rude since Aiba was urging him to take a sip -- Sho then dared to. Once the liquid entered his mouth, he couldn’t wait to get another sip in.
“Is it good?” Aiba asked him excitedly.
He nodded his head, taking another thousand sips of coffee.
“Mom and Dad says my mixing is bland and tasteless, but I’m glad, Sakurai-san, that you like it!”
Sho tasted it differently than Aiba’s parents did, or was it because he was drinking coffee that his neighbor made? Either way, Sho wondered if he could stop by Aiba’s apartment every morning to get a cup of coffee.
Tolerance -- Day 156
“Sho-chan... I’m worried about your health,” Aiba told him the fifth day Sho was in his neighbor’s apartment. “You look like a panda and you’ve been drinking too much of my coffee... Are you sure you’re ok?”
“Neverbetter!” Sho exclaimed rapidly, taking another cup that Aiba handed him. “NoneedtoworryMasaki-san.”
“Sho-chan...”
“Another coffee!” He requested, handing Aiba the green cup he used before. Even after he was familiar with the taste of Aiba’s coffee, he needed more. Enough to feel exhilarated like the first time he tasted it. Never has he tasted anything so wonderful.
“I think that’s enough,” Aiba said as he sat besides him. “I’ve run out of coffee.”
Sho snapped his head to his neighbor. “Youshouldhavesomemore. Ineedit.”
“But Sho-chan...” Aiba looked around and Sho followed his actions. The apartment was much cleaner and organized unlike the first time. The apartment was still identical to his, but he changed the designs to fit Aiba’s preferences (he learned of this within the five days).
He knew what Aiba was talking about, but because he was high of caffeine, his stupid mouth opened itself. “Igetit. Youwantmeoutofhere.”
“No, Sho-chan, it’s--”
“I’mgoing,” He immediately stood up, almost making it to the floor when he became dizzy for a short moment. Ignoring Aiba’s calls, he walked to the front door, excused himself, and sped walked back home.
Withdrawal -- Day 157
Sho went to work early in the morning, an hour before his working hours were supposed to begin. He couldn’t face Aiba again after yesterday for being stupid and refusing to open the door for him yesterday. After yesterday’s events, though, he was finally able to sleep since his body begged to be shut down. As soon as he arrived to work, he slumped into his chair.
“Are you ok?” His partner for projects, Ninomiya Kazunari (he preffered it if people called him Nino), asked him worriedly. “I’ve been meaning to say this since the past few weeks, but you look like hell Sakurai. And that’s strange... you usually have a mug with you. Did you forget it?”
“I’m ok, and I don’t feel like having coffee this morning,” He grimaced, remembering how many cups of coffee he had for the past few days.
Nino laughed. “You look sick mentioning the word ‘coffee’.”
“Oh, I have my reasons to look like this,” He said, groaning when he felt his stomach rumble and his eyelids droop.
“Do you want some of mines?” Nino asked, offering him his yellow mug.
Sho eyed the mug then Nino. Although he felt sick of coffee and he was not in the mood of having coffee, his mouth was watering from the smell it gave off. However, he refused. It was Nino’s coffee, not-- Sho didn’t even want to think of him right now.
“Thanks, but no thanks,” He said.
“Whatever suits you,” Nino shrugged before resuming his part of the project. “Oh, and Sakurai,” His head popped out from the sides, “Don’t forget our presentation tomorrow morning. I hope--”
Sho’s eyes widened. How could he have forgotten?! “Crap!”
Dependency -- Day 158
Sho couldn’t bring himself to scream at Nino for not reminding him two weeks before their big presentation. Then again, it was his responsibility to remember, not Nino’s. As soon as he came back home from work, he was pulling at his hairs, letting the stress overcome him. He kept cursing and calling himself stupid until there the doorbell went off. Frustrated, he stomped towards the door and flung it open.
“What?!” He yelled. But as soon as he saw who it was, he wanted to take it back and apologize.
“Sho-cha-- Oh.” Aiba backed away from his front steps as he silently apologized. “I didn’t mean to--”
“Masaki-san!” Without thinking, Sho grabbed the latter’s arm and pulled him in. Once he closed the door and gave Aiba a pair of slippers, he asked Aiba to follow him to the kitchen.
“What is it?” Aiba asked him curiously once he was sat down at the bar.
“I need your help,” Sho said. “And I only have a few hours left.”
Ecstasy -- Day 159
“Eh?! What do you mean it’s not the right one?!” Aiba asked him for the fifth time after taking another sip of the coffee Aiba made. “But it’s the same mix, and I’m doing it correctly!”
“No, it’s still not right!” Sho snarled angrily as he set the mug down on the countertop. “There’s definitely something different.”
“But...” Aiba pouted, then sighed before taking a seat at the bar. “I don’t get exactly what you want my help for, Sho-chan. You just told me to make coffee...”
“Make it again,” He demanded. “I need it.”
“But Sho-chan, we’re wasting water and I’m telling you, it’s the same mix.”
Sho scowled. “But there’s something different about it, Masaki. I know it.”
“Then what is it?” Aiba asked and Sho could detect a slight irritation in Aiba’s voice. He never thought that his neighbor who smiled day in and day out would be annoyed.
“I think it’s because we’re using a different coffeemaker,” He observed. “Do you mind if we use the one at your apartment?”
Aiba shook his head.
“Ok, good,” Sho sighed in relief. “Let’s use that one. Maybe, it won’t be different.”
“Hmm...” Sho hummed thoughtfully as he took another sip from the green mug.
“Well?”
“It’s... still different.”
“Then what?!”
Sho’s head snapped up, surprised to hear that Aiba had finally snapped. The latter was staring at him, defeated and worn-out.
“I did everything that I usually do, mixed it correctly, added in the correct amount of milk, used my coffeemaker, but you still say it’s different! Besides, you haven’t even told me why you needed my help.”
“It’s... It’s your fault,” Sho blurted out loud without thinking. A few seconds after the words came out of his mouth, he realized what his mouth said.
Aiba scoffed. “My fault? How?”
“It’s you!” Sho told him vaguely as he pointed a finger towards Aiba.
“What did I have to do with the coffee taste?”
Sho shook his head. “It’s not about the coffee and you,” He said. “Just you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Aiba asked him, giving him a confused look.
“I don’t care about the coffee, for fuck’s sake! I cared about you!” Sho, after hearing himself, closed his mouth. He couldn’t believe he just said that!
“What?” Aiba questioned him, his eyes never leaving his face. “Me?”
“I...I just drank your coffee to see you,” Sho said, hating himself for continuing this awkward conversation. At this moment, he wanted to drown himself underwater where no one will find him. It was true, though, that it wasn’t the coffee he cared about (although the beverage was damn addicting), he was just too much of a coward to admit it till now -- in front of Masaki in this awkward situation.
“Sho-chan...”
“I know, I’m leaving.”
“No, wait.”
Sho felt a hand on his wrist and was pulled back.
Aiba giggled. “Why didn’t you say so, Sho-chan?”
“What--” He was interrupted when he felt wet lips touch his own, and it pulled away before he could process what was going on.
“Sho-chan... I think my bedroom needs redecorating, too.”
Sho stared at Aiba dumbly and was about to ask him what he meant when he was pulled away. Soon, he found himself laying down on a bed with Aiba sitting on top of him.
“Masaki, what’s--” Aiba put a finger on his lips.
“Sho-chan needs to be quiet,” Aiba giggled.
The next thing he knew, Aiba crawled down all the way to his hips and he heard what sounded like a belt being undone. By then, Sho figured out the situation. “Masaki, this is--” He looked at the clock besides the bed and saw that he had less than 6 hours before he had to go to work. “Ma--” He was unable to continue when he felt a cold and warm breeze brush past his exposed length. He couldn’t help but let a groan escape.
“You like?” Masaki asked, giggling.
Sho nodded his head submissively when he felt Aiba blow lightly on him again. He felt his penis twitch at the touch, hating how Aiba was teasing him like this. Still, it felt so damn good.
“How about this?” Aiba asked at the same time Sho felt a light kiss on the tip of his length.
Sho nodded again, moaning and begging Aiba to touch him more.
“Like this, too?” Aiba asked him teasingly as he felt a warm tongue slide over all over his penis.
By this time, Sho’s lost it. He couldn’t take anymore of it and ignored Aiba trying to tease him. He grabbed his head, shoved his penis in Aiba’s mouth and he fucked his mouth. He had felt this once, after masturbating to a porn channel he accidentally landed on one night, but it felt way different with someone else. Especially since it was Aiba. Was this what I wanted in the beginning? Sho asked himself.
“Sho...” Aiba panted, pulling himself away from Sho’s force. “Take me...” Aiba stood up and undressed himself quickly before presenting himself to Sho. Lazily, Aiba pointed towards the drawer besides his bed. “Lube... condom...”
Sho quickly grabbed for said items. After rolling the condom on his penis, he put a good enough amount of lube in his fingers. Without a warning, he shoved them in Aiba’s hole and worked him out.
“Sho’s... experienced...” Aiba giggled. “Am I... the third? fourth?”
“First...” Sho confessed and said nothing more. He just wanted to put himself inside of Aiba.
When he felt that Aiba was ready, he lubed his penis before positioning himself in front of the hole. Once all of him was inside, he began to move.
“Uhn... Sho...” Aiba groaned in pain as he tightened around Sho’s penis. “It hurts...”
“Am I.. .uh...” Sho moaned as Aiba tightened around him again, “your first?”
Aiba nodded his head, groaning in pain when Sho pushed in deeper. Sho smirked, burying himself deeper in Aiba. “Good.”
Soon, Aiba began to moan and Sho knew he hit the right spot. He briefly pulled out, demanded Aiba to wrap himself around Sho, before inserting his penis again. This way, he could pleasure Aiba too.
“Faster...” Aiba moaned breathlessly into his ear. Sho obeyed and fastened his pace as he grabbed Aiba’s penis and began stroking him at the same pace. Using his other hand, Sho grabbed for Aiba’s head and pulled him into a kiss. It was harsh and he tasted of coffee from earlier, but the coffee, this time, tasted a million times better. It was a good thing he didn’t refuse to begin with.
“Sho... coming...” Aiba mumbled incoherently in between their hot kiss.
He, too, felt like he was about ready to release. Although he wanted to feel more of Aiba, he pulled his penis out and the condom off. “Suck me,” He demanded as he positioned Aiba’s head between his legs, and his head between Aiba’s leg. He saw this in the porn film before, and he thought he should try it out.
He took Aiba’s penis in his mouth and sucked him like a lollipop. It tasted salty and weird, but it tasted better than the coffee. Soon, he felt Aiba’s release in his mouth and Sho gulped all his cum down; Aiba did the same after he released in the hot mouth. Definitely better than coffee.
“Masaki,” He panted after pulling himself off the latter. “You’re like drugs I could never say no to.”
Aiba laughed. “Really? Isn’t that a bad thing?”
“No,” He said, glancing at the clock -- there was only four and a half hours left. He had plenty of time to get ready and at least an hour to take a power nap. “I need to sleep, Masaki, you sleep too.”
“Ok,” Aiba giggled. “But Sho,” Aiba poked him on the side, “What did you need help on?”
“To keep me awake,” Sho mumbled, ready to fall asleep any second, “Wake me up in an hour, yeah?”
“Ok, I -- Wait, but Sho! You’re already going to sleep!”
He felt like it was right to tell Aiba he didn’t need help anymore because halfway while he was fucking him, he just remembered that he was already prepared from the beginning of the month, when Aiba had just moved in. Well, he can just tell him later, Sho thought as he made himself comfortable in Aiba’s bed. He can’t wait for the next time he would be able to fulfill his drug dosage.
