i hate 90% of shippers so i just avoid anything fandom related other than writing fic and reading fic that i like, lol. people are nutso. this was basically my problem with ohmiya shippers in arashi fandom - you couldn't say anything to them at all or else they completely went off on you like HOW DO YOU NOT SEE THAT IT'S REAL and then you just try to figure out how they got so cray cray about a fake pairing in japanese boy band fandoms. ugh. i operate the best on the edges of fandom, because there is less to irritate me. i feel bad for s.e. hinton. :/ people have no sense.

For me, the Akame shippers were the worst, and I was never even a KAT-TUN fan. XD

hahaha as someone who as IN akame fandom, 80% of akame shippers never talked to anybody else in fandom because they were so shit on. they didn't participate in exchanges, they had their own, they didn't go on friending memes, they didn't interact with the rest of fandom much at all. almost all of my akame friends are single-ship only, and i don't really know any of them who did fandom stuff outside the ship bubble. which makes me wonder how the hell people thought akame shippers were so irritating, when we didn't talk to anyone else. it's an interesting phenom and i think it was the 20% and the annoying ones who got vocal about it (coincidentally, these were not actually people who did much with the actual akame fandom) or trolls or something.

however, i have had multiple ohmiya fans get into fights with me - actual arguments - and they were FRIENDS of mine. that... is not cool.

They were the notorious "did you see them touch just now MY SHIP IS REAL!!!" shippers back in the day. I don't know about percentages, but there were enough that it impacted me. lol

probably the crazy 20% then, hahaha. that's my vote. but akame fandom was honestly the most welcoming part of je fandom for me, esp. at the end, given everything that went down between me and fandom at large. the friends i kept post-fandom exodus were either role-playing friends or akame friends, because those were the only ones that stuck with me and stayed friendly. so, i'm forever glad that i was in akame fandom, because i met some of my really wonderful friends there. arashi fandom... well. i really didn't keep any friends from arashi fandom (in fact, most of them were the big huge "you are a terrible, horrible person i hope you die in a pool of your own vomit" defriending messages i got)

given my relationship with the rest of this fandom, i'm willing to say "shitty fandom" at this point. if i get name-dropped on one more hate meme, i swear to god. i'm not even IN fandom anymore and i'm still fucking showing up on those things.

I haven't been 'round to a hate meme in a long time. I only saw my name twice but I knew who the asshole was each time, even anon, and I'm OK with her hating me. One day you'll have to tell me about your leaving fandom. Maybe with alcohol. XD
