It's like a trigger - I just look at the gif and I'm laughing again
I've been paying attention to the CW pilot news for some reason... LOL IDK WHY, I GUESS IT'S MY BASE NETWORK NOW. I ALWAYS END UP ROOTING FOR THE UNDERDOG. I'm excited/nervous about the Elementary pilot, but not a whole lot else for the other networks. I don't usually take notice of shows before they get picked up, since I have a bad tendency to fixate on things that get canceled/dropped and mope when they're all gone. XD Is anyone looking forward to anything in particular? On any network, I mean.
Most of
ABC's pilots look like crap, but I will watch the fuck out of
Gilded Lilys if it gets picked up.
Set in 1895, show revolves around the opening of the first luxury hotel in New York City and all the intermingling of love, treachery and disdain between the classes set against a backdrop of vicious family rivalries, scandalous secrets and conflict and co-mingling of classes.
IDGAF how soapy, historically inaccurate, or convoluted it gets, John Barrowman is in an American pilot. *______* Torchwood is on indefinite leave, shall we say, since the creator's partner is terminally ill, so it won't be coming back this year. That leaves John with time for a major project and I would really, really like him to have a major part on an American show. I craaaaaave American TV appearances! Like the (current) Doctor Who actors on Craig Ferguson (THEY COULD TALK TO EACH OTHER IN THEIR SCOTTISH ACCENTS AND ADSKFGJDFDGDGF I HAVE SIMPLE DESIRES). It's kind of funny, because I was getting annoyed with all the white, male, British lead actors on American TV recently, particularly when they act as Americans. Buuuuuut, this sounds like an ensemble cast and I don't think he'll be the lead if there is one.
I'm two seasons into Torchwood and one into Doctor Who. I like Torchwood more at the moment, but I need to watch more Who to catch up to the timeline. (I didn't want to watch the second series in the midst of my Torchwood fever because John's not in it at all~ XD) I'm already spoiled for all sorts of things (ughhhh) and don't really feel like ripping my heart out with Torchwood COE just yet, so Who it is. D: I also watched the second half of season six(?) of Desperate Housewives to see John's arc. LOL HE'S A PSYCHO, IT'S AWESOME. It's a little sad he only really interacted with a few other actors on screen, but I enjoyed it. PLUS, SOMETIMES HE TURNS AROUND REALLY FAST TO RUSH OUT OF A ROOM AND IT LOOKS MORE LIKE A TWIRL AND THE ~SCARY DANGER~ FEEL IS LOST AS I CACKLE MADLY AT HIS DANCING GAIT.
I need more gifs
