It's time to play
:D
How does this work? Well, I've picked 12 guys and 12 girls I think are attractive. Each day, I post a poll and everyone votes for the least attractive of the bunch. When we get down to the last guy and girl, we cry that our favorites are gone know who the prettiest ones are! The beauty is that the poster likes them all - but I'm allowed my favorites and if you don't know who they are, you haven't been paying attention. :Dv
I'll give everyone a different picture every day unless I feel too attached to one of them or they don't have enough good pictures on Google Images. I'll also include what I know them from, and what you may know them from - or get to know them, if the game draws you in. I also may cheat and post gifs and/or videos if I so desire. And...there may be a few red herrings here and there because I had trouble thinking past the first few hotties. XD
Lastly, most of the people who have friended me are here for the Johnny's goodness, but this is pretty light on the Johnny's, and Japanese guys in general. I tried to go with who I've been noticing lately, which mostly means American guys and girls from TV shows. Hot ones, though. Anyway, the point is that this poll could be really drastically biased away from my current favorites, so I'm hoping this doesn't fail too bad.
Let the games begin! :D
In no particular order:
The Guys
Gackt
The plastic, yet gorgeous, Jrocker we all know and love. He's all smoldering poses one minute and embarrassing stories of dorkiness the next. Can you say "guilty pleasure"?
Robert Downey, Jr.
I gave him another chance after rehab when Ironman came out, and boy, am I glad I did. Sherlock Holmes was probably my favorite movie last year, and he is 7/10 of the reason why.
James Roday
Psych's hilarious, fast-talking smartass. Currently dating his co-star, aw~
Wonbin
Korea's finest ignore that army crap. Known for Friends (TV), Guns & Talks (movie - with guns!!), Taegugki (so sad ;___;)...and some stuff I haven't watched yet. I haven't been watching much Korean stuff lately, but he stuck out way back when I first got interested in their media.
Misha Collins
Supernatural's fail kickass angel, Castiel. He gripped you tight and raised you from a boring life without Misha perdition. The man went from a normal guest star to show regular after fans went crazy for him. He knows how to
please the fangirls.
Taeyang
BIGBANGS's Dong Youngbae, goes by Sol in Japan - because his Korean stagename means "Sun." That, or "flaming hot body." Abs, people, abs!
Jensen Ackles
Supernatural's tough hero, Dean. Also comes with delicous vulnerable center of
man!tears. :D You may also know him from Days of Our Lives, Dark Angel, or a crappy movie or two. When not acting as Dean, he
teases his co-stars and is just generally delectable.
Jared Padalecki
Supernatural's wayward son, Sam. He trusts people he shouldn't and continues on that road paved with good intentions, but it's OK! He does it shirtless and/or with
the best puppydog looks ever. Also, the guy himself is really friendly, funny, and a huge dork. *pets*
Nagase Tomoya
TOKIO's spacecase vocalist of HOT. Also in some great dramas like Tiger & Dragon, which everyone and her mother needs to watch. Honestly, if I need to introduce him to you now, I don't know why you're reading this post.
Alexander Skarsgård
True Blood's own Viking vampire asshole, Eric Northman. He makes up for Bill's annoyingness in recent seasons, mostly by walking around naked and making suggestive comments. You may also know him as
Meekus, one of the victims of a freak gas fight accident in Zoolander.
Kaneshiro Takeshi
Mmmmmmm, mmmm. One of my first Japanese actor crushes, and he's still going strong. He has been in House of Daggers, Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake, Returner, Perhaps Love, and Accuracy of Death (Sweet Rain) - best grim reaper ever. Yeah, I see you, Brad Pitt.
Higashiyama Noriyuki
Johnny's own superstar, from Shounentai. Fourty-threefour and going strong. He's been in some silly dramas like Kuitan and GM Odore Doctor, but he's alllll about the muscles and dance skills, my friends. Come be shallow with me, the water's fine. 8D
The Girls
Rutina Wesley
True Blood's fiesty stereotype sidekick, Tara. She looks beautiful when she's not chewing people out on the show, but I enjoy that, too. 8Db
Portia de Rossi
Ellen's wife! But really, I first thought she was gorgeous waaaaay back on Ally McBeal. She was also amazing on Arrested Development, which people should watch for reasons completely unrelated to the eyecandy.
Gina Torres
Firefly's/Serenity's BAMF captain, Zoe. She was also in two of the Matrix...es..s...ices? D: TWO OF THE MATRIX MOVIES. *cough* And, I first saw her in Angel.&hearts
Stana Katic
Castle's no-nonsense HBIC cop, partnered with the ridiculous yet adorable mystery writer, Richard Castle. She shoots up bad guys in extremely impractical clothes, but you don't see us complaining. :D
Olivia Wilde
House's mysterious and gorgeous Thirteen. She's smart, sexy, and doesn't take lip from anyone. Who cares what else she's been in - she's Thirteen, damn it. She's pretty much perfection in human form.
Takeuchi Yuko
She made Pride amazing, playing opposite playboy Haru (KimuTaku) as Aki. Bara no nai Hanaya was another great drama I didn't see coming. She's a prime example of womanly poise and mature beauty - and that's not a euphamism for "old"; she's just too good for immature boys.
Deborah Ann Woll
True Blood's baby vampire, Jessica. If you've ever seen her photoshoots from outside the show, you know she has another side beyond Bill's new charge and Hoyt's cute love interest. She was also in an episode of Life.&hearts
Sarah Shahi
Life's freaking awesome cop, Dani Reese. She's way too gorgeous to be Damian Lewis's new partner (though I love him too&hearts), kicking ass and taking names, but I guess we just got lucky with casting. RIP, Life... She was also the infamous Woman in White in the Supernatural pilot.
Alyson Hannigan
Buffy's lesbian witch, Willow; good one day, bad the next. Beautiful red hair, always a good hostage. "I'll give you anything! Please just don't hurt Willow. D:" Married to a Buffy co-star, with kids now. Aw~
Shinohara Ryoko
Anego! Back when Jin was cute with fluffy hair, Shinohara Ryoko was the brains behind the company. Other than that, Unfair was a great drama about her being...yet another bad-ass HBIC. I'm OK with this typecasting, I must say.
Rachel McAdams
The Notebook is what I know her from, and what I'll always associate her with. I was behind the crowd in watching Mean Girls, but she beat down Lindsay Lohan as the lead Plastic. Sherlock Holmes featured her cunning one-upping games with Holmes, done in wonderful costumes.
Maggie Lawson
Psych's beautiful and thus unattainable Juliet. Maggie's behind the scenes clips are cute; I'd link to Hulu but I can't access it. :x
Please, feel free to vote in a completely shallow manner, based on the pictures!
