The Game of Spades: Chapter 2
Hours had passed and the sun was shining very brightly on the field that the 4 boys were laying on. Donghae bothered by the bright sun was the first one to wake up. He woke up seeing his 3 friends and him lying on a field.
Holy…Where are we?! This is definitely NOT SEOUL. Ah crap, now I have to wake everyone up and figure out a way out of here! Wait maybe this is a dream..?
Donghae pinched his cheek real hard realizing it was not a dream. He made a frown and decided to wake everyone up. First he went over to Hyukjae, and pinched him. The crimson-haired boy shook Hae off and went back to sleep. Donghae pouted and started pinching both Hyukjae cheeks real hard. His best friend made an annoyed look on his face and opened his eyes.
“What the hell Hae?! Do you seriously have to do that when I was having an awesome dream?”
“Hyukkie, this isn’t the time to worry about that!”
“What are you talking abo-Oh what the hell, where are we?” Hyukjae looked around the field and saw Sungmin and Kyuhyun lying on top of each other while giving Hae a I have a bad feeling about this look. The 2 then tried to wake Kyuhyun and Sungmin up both shaking and pinching them. After the 2 others finally woke up, the other 2 also looked around surprised.
“Uh guys, I don’t think we’re in Seoul anymore,” Sungmin said to the 3 with a worrisome look. Kyuhyun then rolled his eyes.
“Obviously. Not,”
“Kyu! I was just saying that because I love the Wizard of Oz! (A/N: A LIE I MADE UP!) Don’t be such a party pooper,” Sungmin then gently hit Kyuhyun on the arm.
“Okay guys, stop arguing and let’s figure out a way to get out of here,” Hyukjae sighed and took both of their shoulders.
“Hyukkie, maybe we can like ask someone or try to look for a town. I mean there should be a town or city somewhere, I don’t think there would be no civilized places in the mystery land,”
“Wait Hae, didn’t your sheet of paper say something about the sorrow of Spades.” Then suddenly Hyukjae turned to Kyuhyun.
“Hey try to find that instruction manual thing, maybe it has instructions to get home or something”
Kyuhyun searched for the paper in his pockets and couldn’t find it. He and the others tried to find it on the grass and finally saw it. He took the paper in the hands and the others huddled around him to look at it. At first it was blank, and they were getting frustrated until some words appeared on the paper. They all looked at it in surprise, then Kyuhyun read it aloud.
“All will be over once you complete the Game of Spades. The soft gentle musical wind will take you to a town named Devil Bomb City. Do not try to find a way home, for traps will spring from dust if you do not follow these instructions. This is not a joke…or maybe it is? Go ahead, take the Savior Cards. Teehee. ~A Twisted Fate”
“This person is crazy, he or she must be trying to pull a prank,”
“Okay Min, instead of complaining let’s try to follow these instructions and see what happens. After all, we can’t even think of what to do,”
Hyukjae and Donghae nodded their head with Kyuhyun in agreement, and Sungmin sighed. They all suddenly felt a breeze that had a soft sound and were led towards the direction heading north.
About half an hour later…….
The 4 stopped to stare at the giant sign on a city with a gate entrance of black huge metal curved and fancy doors. A young girl then peeped out the window of the city tower and smiled. She opened the door and shouted at the four asking if they were looking for Yesung and Ryeowook. Before the 4 could say anything, the girl disappeared. They went in, greeted by 2 20-year old looking men. The 2 men smiled and handed the 4 all same looking cards followed by 5 different cards for each. The 4 stood puzzled and Hyukjae finally decided to ask who they are and the whole mess revolving around them.
“Who are you guys? What are we doing here; can you please explain or at least tell us how we may get home?” The 3 nodded giving pouts on their faces. The 2 just chuckled leaving the 4 puzzled.
“Oh sorry for no introductions. I’m Ryeowook and this is my husband next to me, Yesung. We are here to help you 4 on your new quest to save the kingdom from a dictator named King. Don’t worry we are both well-known and wealthy so food, water, and shelter will be provided to you. The cards that I handed to you are called Savior Cards from our holy goddess Soar. They are cards that will combine with your weapon, which are the sticks in your pockets that transform into weapons. A sword, spear, wand, and bow + arrows. The reason we know all this stuff is because we were sent by our goddess to help you 4. Please enjoy your stay, and we’ll send you home when you finish this task. Thank you,”
Yesung just stood next to his wife and nodded. The 4 all listened, but were too shocked and freaking out in the inside to say anything. The first person to say anything was actually the innocent fish Hae.
“SAY WHAT?!”
The 3 others followed quarreling with worried looks on their face. After a while, Ryeowook explained everything to them and somehow knocked the fact about their task into their mind. The 4 finally became settled and half-okay with their task and became friends with the 2.
“Okay, so where do we stay for now?” The 3 nodded along with Hyukjae question.
“Well, I guess you guys can stay in Devil Inn since we’re really good friends with the owner and his wife”
“Woah, he spoke!” Donghae made a big O surprised face.
“Well, my husband does speak sometimes, but be careful he’s a little weird sometimes. Especially with his pet turtle,” Ryeowook whispered the last part to the 4 friends. Then the couple took the 4 to the inn.
A/N: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I’M SO SORRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYY. -Stabs self- I’m sorry I didn’t update, I was being a lazy bum, and also I had a lot tests. Now, I’m finally done with my tests. I bet I failed them though. I had like 4 main subject tests L. Okay, here’s the 2nd chapter. I’ll be sure to update the 3rd chapter tomorrow. Wait for it! It’s a little surprising. Wait, don’t kill me yet. I think you guys might laugh or aw at the 3rd chapter (Hint, hint J!)
