You can always count on Robin to show up at such times - he's ubiquitous like that. He'll wander over and place a hand on her shoulder. "Lost something, sweetheart?"

She looks over at him. "No," she says despondently, softly.

[rob_fellows]

"You were misleading me. The bottom of that tea cup looked really fascinating." He sits next to her, nudges her. "Hey."

[ohmaiden]

She sighs, still looking into that damn teacup. "What is it that you want?"

[rob_fellows]

He puts an arm around her, loosely - not crowding, but certainly present. "Kid, I'm your friend, aren't I? That means I'm here to take care of you."

And he'd really be grateful if just this once, his friends would let him be a caretaker, damn it.

"...I just don't know what to do anymore, Robin."

[rob_fellows]

He tries to tug her in to an embrace, gently. "Maybe that's because the move's not on you, kid."

Is tugged! Albeit a tad reluctantly.

"What do you mean by that?"

[rob_fellows]

He just holds her, present but not constraining. "I mean that maybe if you don't know what to do, it's because you don't have to do anything."

"You really think so?"

[rob_fellows]

"I'm pretty sure, yeah," Robin replies, soothingly. "Sometimes, you're better off waiting for life to make the next move. Particularly when you're confused anyway."

[ohmaiden]

"Maybe..."

[rob_fellows]

He nods. "It'll be alright," he says, after a moment. "You don't believe me now, but it will be."

[ohmaiden]

"But when? When will it be all right again?" She sighs.

[rob_fellows]

"It'll take you a while," he says, gently. "And that's alright too."

[ohmaiden]

"Really?"
