She's been staying with Steerpike for some time now, an unknown captive of his. But this time, he left the door unlocked, and after peeking her head outside, she's walked out into the surrounding forest, curious as to what's around here ( Read more... )

Robin's been careful with his wanderlust, lately - but he and Niko have been talking about Iphigenia's disappearance (not that uncommon, though, since several people did disappear in the fire), and he's making one more round.

He's not hopeful - he's just being conscientious about it, that's what he's telling himself. He's also fairly quiet, and might be observing the figure from afar.

He's not even sure who this is, at this point, and you never know, with Morgoth around.

She's not looking his way at first, but when she does, she doesn't quite recognize him--perhaps he's too far off. But she's definitely surprised to see another living being in the forest with her, and so she might take a few steps forward, cautiously.

"Hello?" she says in a tiny voice, probably not loud enough for him to hear.

He squints a little, takes a step her way, and the voice is enough for him to recognize her.

"--- Iphigenia?" --- "Oh, god, it's you. Oh god." And he comes, closer, in a few efficient strides.

"--Robin? But--" you're supposed to be dead, she thinks, remembering what she had been told. "--You're alive?"

He reaches to touch her shoulders, squeeze them. "Well yes, of course. I'm Pan, remember?" --- "What happened to you?"

He would hug her, but he doesn't quite dare.

She starts a little at his touch, but doesn't resist. "But he--he told me, everyone died, that that was why he had me at his house..." she says, trailing off and looking very, very lost.

Robin's eyes widen, and there's a flash of murderous anger in his eyes. "--- who? Did he hurt you?"

"No, he would never hurt me...he just said he had to take me away to protect me, that he wanted me to be safe--but he lied, and now I don't know what to do! He said no one was left, but that's not true, because you're here, and..."

--- he doesn't let her go, instead, his hold on her shoulders is a bit tighter. "Wait wait wait, who lied?"

"George...he was the one who took me to his house..." She's on the verge of tears.

"Hey, hey.." he draws her into a tight hug. "It'll be alright."

And he's going to kill some George. And he's not thinking about Cal's ex-girfriend either.

She hugs him back tenderly. "But but--I can't just leave him!" she sniffles.

"Watch me make you," Robin says, firmly. "You've been abducted. That's unacceptable. C'mon, I'll take you home."

By which, of course, he means the Mansion.

"Robin, I can't! We can't--I can't just leave him! I can't! I have to--" she starts crying again, heaving with sobs.

"You have to come home," Robin replies, calmly. "Niko's been worried sick about you."

"So he did lie," she says, still sobbing. "I thought you were all dead..."
