Skins 3x01 picspam
Another large picspam - this time of the first episode of generation 2. I've toyed with the idea of doing one of these for every episode of s3 (lets be honest, series 4 does not deserve the work a picspam takes, aside from maybe one or two episodes, MAYBE) but its a lot of work, so I may just do key stuff. I also will probably do some from gen1.
I guess this contains spoilers, but I'm assuming anyone watching knows this episode backwards and forwards anyways.
Anyway, enjoy - very image-heavy, not dialup friendly. :)
Generation 2 // Series 3&4
Effy Stonem
Effy Stonem, brought over from generation 1, little sister of the legendary Tony Stonem. She's "fit and mysterious", leaving nearly nothing to the imagination physically, but everything mentally.
James Cook
James Cook, referred to as simply "Cook", automatically dubbed the rebellious bad boy in school after exposing his...questionable tattoo, and shagging Effy, winning her checklist challenge.
Freddy Mclair
Freddy Mclair comes off as the sensitive, thoughtful boy that is fighting for Effy. Best friends with JJ and Cook, he knows that he is stepping into dangerous territory, but quickly has his heart broken when Cook wins the challenge.
Jeremiah Jones
Jeremiah Jones, referred to as "JJ", is the last of the trio. He too notices Effy's beauty, and is drawn in by her. JJ is very socially awkward and a genius, and suggests possibly using his magic tricks as a way to pick Effy up.
Emily Fitch
Emily Fitch, one of the Fitch twins, is quickly characterized as the "door mat". Her more aggressive twin, Katie, seems to walk all over her and control her. Emily is quiet, keeps to herself and avoids confrontation.
Katie Fitch
Katie Fitch, the more outgoing of the twins, is confident in who she is and isn't afraid to show it. She automatically takes up the role as the most popular girl in school, flaunting her footballer boyfriend and attempting to befriend Effy, simply because they are "the best looking ones" in the school.
Naomi Campbell
Naomi Campbell, mocked regularly for her famous name, is somewhat of a mystery at this point. She wasn't explained much, other than the fact that she and Katie have a clear problem, one that she and Emily seem to know more about than they lead on.
Pandora Moon
Pandora Moon, Effy's best friend, seems to be another "door mat" character. She clearly looks up to Effy, wishing to be like her and take part in the same acts - such as "surf and turfing", aka having sex. She describes herself as "useless", and comes off as adorably clueless socially.
The Relationships
"Ceffy"
Ceffy, Cook and Effy, are probably the most obvious ship in this episode. They share the same thirst for risk and danger, and fornicate on school property after Cook wins the challenge. Although Effy seems to be drawn to Cook, she does show signs of showing remorse about Freddy.
"Freffy"
Freffy, Freddy and Effy, comes off as the more innocent relationship thus far. Freddy seems to be genuinely interested in Effy, while Cook seems to only be in it for the sex and bragging rights at this point. When asked to share a fact about himself, Freddy speaks about meeting a beautiful girl that day that he liked. Afterwards, Effy showed a small sign of guilt for what she knew was about to happen with Cook.
"Naomily"
Naomily, Naomi and Emily, is the questionable relationship at this point in time. There's nothing official happening with them, but its clear that there's an underlying tension regarding Naomi "snogging" and "jumping on" Emily in primary school, according to Katie. Its clear that something is going to happen with these two.
Katie and Effy
Katie and Effy, the two "top" girls at school, seem to be in an awkward place. Katie wishes to become friends because she wants someone else pretty to talk to, while Effy doesn't seem interested in the least. There is clearly a twinge of competition in this 'friendship', seeming to stem mostly from Katie and her desire to be the most popular girl in their college.
Freddy, Cook, and JJ
Freddy, Cook, and JJ are best friends. Its clear that Cook is the 'leader' of the pack, followed by Freddy and then JJ. Its obvious that they all care for each other, although things begin to get shaky when Effy enters the picture.
The Competition
The competition for Effy's heart is on. But who will really win?
