Jack/Sam and Jack/Daniel (yes i'm a multishipper! :D). Picspams, with some meta.
I love Sam and Jack. A lot. Why do I love them? Because, they love each other! Sheesh. From the beginning of the show, you see it. Jack begins the show, not terribly impressed with the idea of a scientist on his team, and yet it doesn’t take long for him to appreciate her utter genius. And from there - they grow, and turn into an insanely cute little pair. They are opposites in many ways, and it plays well together. But, they also are loyal to the uniform, and this is what keeps them apart. Kind of.
See - we know they can’t be together when they’re on the same team.. and they know they can’t be together, and they both know and respect this. Yet - it comes up throughout the show; little moments where we see more of them… more of what they could be, if they didn’t have regs keeping them apart. Death Knell is one of my favourite episodes, because we see Sam as she is; strong, brilliant, resilient, and an incredible soldier. She makes it through a terrifying ordeal, and then at the end, she just needs a hug. Who wouldn’t? And, who is there for her? Jack, of course! They sit there together and he has his arm around her and they’re close. It’s not awkward, it’s not strange. It’s them. This happens in season 7; long after they admit their feelings for each other (and agree that it can’t happen). To me, this goes to show that they are true to regulations in action, and yet in heart - well, you can’t stop the heart from wanting what it wants. From this, we can hypothesize that throughout the entire show, they’ve got their feelings. And so - for a shipper, this means that every time Jack is in Sam’s lab, he’s there for her. He irritates her and fiddles with things and tries to be nonchalant in his wanderings… but, we know it’s more than that. We know he just wants to be near her, in the only way he really can be. As a CO, and maybe as a friend.
And at the almost!end of it all, we see Jack’s picture with Sam in Atlantis. You don’t bring a picture of your ex-CO with you unless you’re.. well, you know - together. They love each other! They made it through being on SG-1 and waited it out until they could be together. Aww.
Jack and Daniel are made for each other. Why? Very simple. Their relationship changed Daniel, completely. Daniel went from this:

Nerdy archeologist to BAMF. Jack changed Daniel.. but Daniel also changed Jack. And they stayed together forever. They are BFFs. Daniel was Jack's spacemoney... and now he's his fucking badass partner in crime. And I think that the only way two people can change each other so very much and still stay true to themselves is if they change together, for each other. With each other.
