i am blessed with this trip to korea. i get to be with an old friend in a new country. we will continue this ritual, always meeting on different foreign soil. she looks radiant, alive and more at peace with her life. india and the rest of asia has rejuvenated her heart and her being. i plan on india as the next destination to reunite.

yesterday i rode the subway from the north part of seoul to the south. the river that divides the city was traversed underground. the ability to read korean characters helps. this was the first time riding the subway by myself. i remember when we came above ground, i looked up and saw the blazing sun set behind the massive apartments buildings that infest the skyline.
