I have not really been in the Livejournal writing mood as of late. I was going to write a lot more than just these few sentences, but I'm totally lacking the ambition to. Here's are two sets of pictures from two seperate days. The first set of when Kimya Dawson & Toby Goodshank came and played some songs for us Connecticut kids in the forest (September 25th... three Saturdays ago). LOVELY DAY! I wish I had the ambition to write more about it, but unfortunately... blah. The second set is from Sunday... October 2nd. I was initially hanging out with Bryan, then Alan called and asked if we wanted to meet up with him and MIKE BOULEY at Red Robin, so we did. Good times. I love that restaurant to pieces.
It was super buggy in the woods, so... Survivor brand
insect repellent saved our skin from nasty bug bites.
The magnificent Toby Goodshank.
Part of the crowd, and Jeff Daley's head.
Kimya made this to ward wizards off. Bahha...
Another shot of the crowd. The kid in the white
shirt laughed at everything. I loved it.
Chris Kiley, Lisa and their friend Kerry came down from
Lowell for the show. They all attend UMass Lowell.
And Chris Kiley here shows that he loves Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Kimya!
Telling us about the fermenting acorns!
I think this was after she thought she saw a wizard behind a tree. :O
Later that night we met up with friends at the Vernon diner.
This is Alan with a fork!
Lisa!
Kerry!
Chris Kiley and his goddamn camera.
The infamous Conor Oberst impersonation.
Alan taking "scene" photos on my camera AGAIN!
This is the classic Alan pose.
Emily then took her turn.
And mostly failed.
Liz joined us!
See, it's Liz!
And Ed too!
While Chris drew a penis on every page
of the Hartford Advocate. Which he placed back
in the pile of fresh Hartford Advocate on the way out.
Oh lord!
George W. Bush
Emily is tasty.
Dan P joined. And he decided to shave in the
diner bathroom. And cut his lip. Poor thing :(
Cute!
Cute!
Their scene shot.
Then I joined Liz and Ed and Dan P and Alan to see Shaun of the Dead.
But we ended up not even going. But here's Liz and Ed on the
motorcycle machine in the arcade at the theatre.
Then in the parking lot, Ed and Liz amused me with their dance performance.
IT WAS FANTASTIC!
Jazz hands! JAZZ HANDS, DAMMIT!
Then the grand finale!
CHRIS KILEY'S PHOTOS
The decomposing car in the woods where Kimya & Toby played.
Dave Deyette's clever touch!
Lisa, Kerry, Chris and I had Taco Bell for lunch.
Chris also had his boogers for lunch.
Kerry and Lisa at the diner later that night.
Alan taking that picture.
Dan and his bleeding lip.
Aw, Kerry and Chris.
AHAHHA, look at Alan.
Pretty Liz! :)
ONE MORE!
Dave Deyette with Toby and Kimya...
Dave, the one who made the whole experience possible!
We sort of though that cookie monster looked a bit flamboyant here.
Alan with an arcade machine.
Poor BRYAN!
Seriously... signature Alan pose.
Cute.
HEHE!
Bryan, blurry.
Mike's smoothie thing that tasted like jellybeans.
MMM... Good, isn't it, Mike?
I bought colorful animal crackers. I still have some left, two weeks later.
Okay... so I have a lot that I need to do. Such as study for my first Communication exam. Get rid of this cold. Have some tea with Amber. Make a portfolio so I can hopefully (crosses fingers) be a Photo major (double majorin', yessir.) And e-mail Tom Bradley, Associate Dean of the Hartford Art School...
This whole school thing... yeah.
I'm sure it'll be a lot better if I get into the art school.
Wish me luck, please.
